Monthly Update
This is the tenth in a series of monthly updates we'll be posting on the last Saturday of every month (JST) until Tokyo Dark's release. If you want to follow development in more detail and you are an [ Access Pack ] + backer remember to drop into the Tokyo Dark backer's forum for our weekly updates every Saturday. If weekly and monthly updates aren't quite enough, you can follow us on Twitter or Facebook for your midweek Cherrymochi fix.
[ Dev Update ]
I'm happy to report that everything is going smoothly with production. We've been working pretty much non-stop recently but getting great results. The animated cut scenes are in full production now – a team of very talented animators here in Japan are working hard everyday to bring Detective Itō to life and it's looking incredible!
Feedback highlighted the main area that alpha testers would like to see improved are the controls. So a new member has joined our team and they are fully focused on making improvements to the gamepad systems.
We've also been meeting with you guys! We've had a great time with all our [ Tokyo Tour ] backers that have headed out here. We hope you enjoyed your time in Japan. :) If you backed at the [ Tokyo Tour ] tier or above, be sure to get in touch and let us know when you'll be in town.
[ EGX Rezzed ]
Though we couldn't make it out to the UK ourselves (tied up with cut scene production) Square Enix Collective took Tokyo Dark to EGX Rezzed in London.
We've had a lot of positive feedback, tweets and emails from gamers who discovered Tokyo Dark for the first time at Rezzed. We're hoping to take Tokyo Dark to a few other events this year, we'll update (via Twitter & Facebook) to let you know when and where you can find us.
Here Toby from Square Enix is interviewed about Tokyo Dark at EGX Rezzed, and does a nice job summarizing the game.
[ Let's Plays ]
SPOILER WARNING – Do not click on the following let's play videos if you are avoiding Tokyo Dark spoilers!
We love let's plays videos and it's been great to see [ Access Back ]+ backers take their experiences of the TD alpha to Youtube.
Thank you to all our backers who have made Let's Play videos of the Tokyo Dark alpha chapter. Though we can't add them all, we thought we'd share a few.
Gronkh`s (almost 2 hour long) 6 part play through of the alpha has been very popular in Germany! Part one has over 315,000 views and introduced many new gamers to Tokyo Dark. Gronkh's speed translation and voice acting is incredible and worth checking out.

- HusbandoGoddess`s let's play is often hilarious, her commentary is... very passionate! (Language warning).

- ScarletKohaku's let's play has great HD video with no commentary, so good if you'd prefer to focus only on the game.
[ Mouse, English text, no commentary ]
- LI AN FONG's let's play uses the Japanese version of the alpha and translates to Mandarin Chinese. so check it out if you'd like to see the Japanese version.

- MakRon.9.3.`s Russian let`s play is very impressive! Using the hooks we added as part of the [ Fan Sub support ] Kickstarter stretch goal he has added unofficial Russian text support and a full Russian translation to the alpha. Even though unsupported at this point, it's great to see that the [ Fan sub support ] hooks are working well and even the alpha is easily translatable.

We love From Software's games, we love board games. We love this!
