Sorry, its been awhile I was pretty sick for most of the month of March. Things are moving forward on the relaunch. The Kick Starter was a great learning experience. I learned a ton on what is and is not expected for a board game Kick Starter campaign. I thought I could put all the detail in videos and it turns out that was a very poor plan. The Kick Starter page was minimal and did not do enough to justify the price to many a potential backer. This is a huge game with almost infinite replay ability and that was just not conveyed in the Kick Starter page. Plus, these just was not enough of the new art.
Two major things have already happened. I have worked out a set price for the art and graphic design for the game. Corry and Jerome, on their own, lowered their fee to help get this game funded on round two. They believe in this game! I have been in contact with the manufacture to begin the process of looking into cutting production cost without cutting content or quality. Corry and I will work on creating a KS page that better highlights the size and scope of the game. Thus creating for the non fan a image of a game that is a steal at the KS pledge level.
Corry and Jerome will create more art so there will be more of the game to show. I am going to revamp the Tabletopia game to remove all of the old art. I am going to work on the rules to streamline them. We will see how this goes as this a huge game with a lot you can do. I will not sacrifice game play to stream line the rules. One of the strengths of this game is your ability to do pretty much anything you want. I want to offer the game at $49 at a funding goal of 40K or less. Getting the price down to 49 is looking like it might be harder than I thought. But I will keep trying.
