Thank you for taking the time to look at our project. Details about the game are on this page, but we’ve added quite a bit of additional information through various updates, which can be found here. A lot of work has gone into this game for design, playtesting, rulebook, and background. This page should give you an idea of the quality of the art and show that we have a nearly completed product waiting for March 24 to get here.
In retrospect, I wish we had made the time to post videos of people having fun with the game. We were a little too focused on trying to communicate the facts and forgot to communicate the fun, too. I promise it is in there! We’ve had a blast at every convention and demo. I find it much easier to sit down one on one and explain the game than to try to sit at my desk and write about the game.

Fate of Akalon: Tribes is a 2-4 player, 15-30 minute fantasy tactical combat card game set on the dying continent of Akalon. Featuring amazing artwork, players can choose between the Elf, Dwarf, Orc and Undead factions in a struggle for survival. The game features four 28 card faction decks and a color-illustrated rule book.
Each turn, players play a card with a combat value from their faction deck. Card effects can strengthen your combat value, let you play additional cards, or weaken your opponent. Make the right tactical decision based on your faction’s unique style of play to gain the upper hand. The highest combat value wins sending their opponent’s cards to the cemetery.
This is a fast-paced “play one, follow the text” fantasy card game. Do you like combos? We do too, so we put them in the game. Do you like gambling? Some cards let you take your chances for a big payoff. Do you like card drawing? Elves have you covered. Do you like offense? So do our Orcs.
For 14 years an ever-growing storm raged across Akalon. At first, hot scouring winds turned the center of the continent into a barren wasteland. It slowly expanded, relentlessly consuming everything in its path.
Forced to abandon their once vibrant cities, verdant fields, and lush forests, the races of Akalon fled north to seek a new home beyond the safety of the towering Kazak Mountains. The dwarves, entrenched in their ancient home, guard what is theirs, certain that the storm cannot reach them. The migrating races fight dwarves and each other as they compete for limited resources in the habitable lands north of the mountains. A constant war rages between these desperate tribes.
Meanwhile, strange magic has raised the dead, which seem intent on nothing but destruction. Peace is a distant memory and the future is without hope. Survival is the only goal. Welcome to Akalon…
This is the first game from our company, Foursight Games. We spent the last year rigorously play testing, designing, and revising Fate of Akalon: Tribes. We worked with several artists who brought Akalon to life with stunning original artwork.

We thoroughly researched expenses related to creating a new company and a new game. We already invested in the artwork and game development. Reaching our funding goal will allow us to manufacture and deliver Fate of Akalon: Tribes with the quality we want in a timely fashion. You can see a breakdown of our expenses in this chart:
One copy of the game includes four 28 card faction decks (Elf, Dwarf, Orc, and Undead) and game rules in a box large enough to hold all game components.
During the Kickstarter campaign, we will finalize the game files for the manufacturing process. Production lead times are 6-8 weeks after final proof review. We expect to ship backer rewards in September 2016.
The Skirmish level allows you to show your support for the game and get periodic updates on our progress.
The Battlefield level gives access to the full resolution color Print and Play version of the game, including the game rules.
The Tribal level includes one copy of the game.
The Chieftain level includes one copy of the game (optionally signed by the game creator), a customized attacking player token, an electronic art book featuring select artwork, and your name on our company website as a producer. Limit 50 rewards at this level.
The Storm Lord level includes one copy of the game (optionally signed by the game creator), a customized attacking player token, an electronic art book featuring select artwork, your name on our company website as a producer, a limited edition Fate of Akalon: Tribes signed poster, and early access to Print-and-Play from the first expansion. Limit 5 rewards at this level.
The Master of the Storm level includes one copy of the game (optionally signed by the game creator), a customized attacking player token, an electronic art book featuring select artwork, your name on our company website as a producer, a limited edition Fate of Akalon: Tribes signed poster, early access to Print-and-Play from the first expansion, and a one-of-a-kind, custom wooden game box. Limit 1 reward at this level.
At any pledge level add $22 for each additional copy.
Rewards ship from within the United States.
Risks and challenges
Although this is the first project from Foursight Games, we have experience in business ownership, project management, and the gaming industry. We are well prepared to meet the challenges of production.
