I make all my project are precision made exclusively in Thailand.
I have maybe 2 percent of my backers emailing me, asking if it's "made in the USA". The answer is no. Quality is not determined by "WHERE" the object is made, it's determined by "WHO".
I spending more than half of my time here in Thailand, to tend to family obligation, and take care of my elderly relative. 80% of the process, I go hands on with designing and finishing.
I oversee the cutting process, and work closely with machine shops. No one knows my design better than I do, so this way, I get exactly what I want. The people involve in this project have 2 years of experience working on my design alone. They know my requirements better than anyone. That makes them the most qualified in my book.
Working in Thailand just happens to be cheaper than in the US. That is a side benefit. But Thailand is far more expensive than working in China, but by working in Thailand, I can control quality, and this is the reason my last 2 project is a big success.
