Use your iPhone to control your Power Point Presentations, Media, or Game Playing
KUDOS iPhone Presenter for PowerPoint:
Utilizes the advance sensors in your iPhone to control your PC. It can be used as a presenter, a media player controller, or a game controller.
- Three-axis gyro sensor built in iPhone(s)
- Accelerometer built in iPhone(s)
- 2.4GHZ RF transmitter (KUDOS Presenter)
- USB RF receiver (KUDOS Presenter)
- iPhone App
How it works:
The KUDOS TECH iPhone app collects the data from the iPhone touch screen, then sends commands to the KUDOS Presenter (a 2.4GHz RF transmitter) via the audio port. The receiver plugs into your PC via the USB port. Your PC then identifies the KUDOS Presenter receiver as an external USB keyboard.
Interface: iPhone Dock Connector vs. Audio Jack
Instead of limiting ourselves to just the iPhone, we decided to maximize this device's potential. We use the audio connector to communicate instead of the iPhone connector. By using the audio jack, this means we can write apps to support Android or Windows phones in the future.
Status of this project:
- Project started in late 2011,
- Prototype and preliminary iPhone app completed in March 2012,
- Tooling started in early May, 2012,
- Two major hardware revisions since kickoff,
- Numerous iPhone app revisions. Current demo app is the fourth major revision. We have done almost everything except selling it in the US.
- e-Commerce package is done.
- Pilot Build is done.
- Usability test is currently in process.
- Teleco certification was completed in January 2013.
KUDOS Presenter is designed to work with all PCs. However, the current demo app is currently designed exclusively for use with Microsoft PowerPoint to connect your iPhone to a Windows PC, as well as MacBook. This presenter is not intended for use with Apple Keynote. Windows Media Player and iTune are supported.
iPhone demo app:
Built-in lithium polymer battery, 50mAH
RF range: 30 meters. (90 feet)
Color options: Silver or Blue
Supported OS: Windows Me/XP/Vista/Win 7
Funding will be used for FCC and CE certification. iPhone app improvement and maintenance are also required to ensure that the devices will continue to work after future iOS upgrade.

Risks and challenges Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
We did a pilot run and test marketed it in China with our demo app. No issue is reported from China team. The product is produced in an ISO certified factory. The product and factory have been audited and approved by a Japanese company.
Currently we have a small inventory and are looking to build more. The material lead-time is 6~8 weeks. However, there is a minimum order quantity at factory. We hope to reserve enough materials for next production run. If we didn't prepare enough materials, delay in production might happen..
FCC certification is required for distribution in the US. A similar Teleco certification for Japan has been done. The risk of not passing FCC is low.
It is designed to work with all generations of iPhone, including iPhone 5. iPhone 5 has been tested with KUDOS presenter with no issue.
It depends. If the presenter can not be fully inserted into audio jack, tou will need to remove the protective case.
