Inspired by the widely-renowned 2003 Video Game “Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic”
And spiritual successor/prequel to the Award winning 2015 Star Wars Fan Film “Revan” created by Limitless Productions, LLC.
A long time ago, in the year 2012, a young group of Star Wars fans got together and decided to make a fan film. Hobbyists at best, they took on making this behemoth of a feature, based on one of the most talked about Star Wars Extended Universe characters of all time, “Revan.” Over the next three years, Limitless Productions adapted, shot, and edited this film together, ultimately releasing it to the public in July 2015. The response was overwhelming. At this present time, the film has almost a million views on YouTube, with a (mostly) positive response. We never imagined it’s success, from the awards, to the fans, it has been an incredible ride. Feel free to watch the first “Revan” here if you have the time (it's like an hour and a half long!) –
But, then we had a thought....
Why not make a new one? At this point in time, we have all branched off into our own professional careers, as composers, cinematographers, actors, directors, etc. So, we thought: "Wouldn’t it be amazing to come back together and make a new fan film, this time with viscerally higher quality?"
Here’s the thing - we never thought the first “Revan” was of especially high quality ourselves (we made it when we were kids!) So now, years later, as professional artists in our own respective fields, we have decided to come together, reach out to the best people we know, and shoot “Revan: The Fall”. (non-profit fan film)
Revan was a character who existed during the time of the Old Republic. This era of the Star Wars extended universe takes place 3,000 years before the Clone Wars. He was introduced in the 2003 video game “Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic” where you play as the protagonist “Revan.” (You could play Revan as a woman too!) This game defined the RPG genre in many ways and is beloved by all who have played.
So, then we thought: "Why not make a fan film that takes place during the actual game?"
Our first film, “Revan”, actually takes place after the events of the game, and is based on the 2012 Novel “The Old Republic: Revan” by Drew Karpyshyn. So, we knew this new film, whatever it ended up being, would have to be a spiritual prequel of sorts.

So, “Revan: The Fall”, inspired by “Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic”, follows the events of Revan as he confronts his old ally, Darth Malak, in the depths of the Star Forge. We don’t want to give too much of the story away, but you’ll get to see actual events from the game, dramatized, and depicted before your very eyes. The tone of the film is a more grounded, honest, and heavy approach to the Star Wars franchise than our last film. The combat is visceral, the sets are real, the dialogue is juicy, and you’ll witness the true power of the force, as you’ve never seen it before.
Well, we’ve locked down everyone we want to hire for principle photography, we've pinned down all of our locations, and all of our props and costumes are ready to be ordered. Our pre-production is fully underway, but now all we need is you!
We shot the first “Revan” on a budget of roughly $5,000, which got us pretty far, but to make this film right, we need to make at least $25,000. Yes, I know, I know, that sounds like a lot, but it really is the bare minimum we need to make this film properly. Where does all of this money go? I’ll tell you! -
- Officially securing our sets and locations
- Officially Hiring our amazing crew and paying for their travel and lodging
- Officially Hiring our amazing actors and paying for their travel and lodging
- Highly detailed, authentic props
- Highly detailed, authentic costumes
- Production costs (food, travel, emergencies, miscellaneous, etc.)
- Post-production (VFX, audio mixing, color correction, etc.)

Risks and challenges
Here's the thing, we're ready to go, all we need is the funding. As experienced film making professionals, we know how to craft every single piece of this film and bring you the quality you deserve. Whatever obstacles we encounter along the way, pale in comparison to the passion and dedication we have for this project. The mistakes and challenges we encountered while creating the first "Revan", gave us invariable insight into how to make a truly amazing Star Wars fan film. We're not doing this for money, we're not doing this for film festivals, we're not doing this for any one person. We're making this for ALL of you! We are confident, nothing will stand in our way.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
