Happy New Year! Best wishes to all of you and your families!

Over the last few days of the year one of the local guys joined us to help finishing his printer, which he took with him on New Year's Eve. We also completed the prototype packaging for sending the first kit, which should be arriving today in the hands of our backer in Northern Ireland.

We are eagerly awaiting the feedback in regards to the packaging. Provided all is good, we will go ahead and order up the cardboard and other materials for the remaining kits.

Some of you asked us about using magnetic joints instead of rod ends. Although we are experiencing issue with the quality of supplied rod ends, we still believe our design to be superior. Magnetic joints suffer from chatter, they reduce the maximum speed/acceleration due to increased moving mass, and there is the risk of the joints becoming de-attached. Our solution uses pre-tensioning, which combats chatter and play, whilst allowing quick changeovers. Once the supply issues are under control, our solution will be 'state of the art'.
