Hi! I'm Corey or sometimes known as Relephor, I've spent the past few years working on a card game that like minded card player enthusiasts would enjoy over and over again that doesn't take up too much time. I conceptualized a card game that could also display a decade old theme of characters and story I always wanted to share with the world, and I called it Omen Quest. It is a game of alot of chance and a bit of strategy!
With easy enough rules and gameplay, anyone can pick up and play instantly and start enjoying psyching their friends out round after round in the game.
The game involves two players or four (two to a team) who both choose either good or evil....
In a two player game, two players try to win the most rounds by championing their opponent's card plays, or attempt to cause their opponent to bleed their coins.
In a four player game, there are two teams and each team member makes their own plays but consults their teammate on current or possible future plays. Team mates can swap cards and manage how to out play or out wit their opponents before the 5th round.

You have four suits two good, two bad ahem, i meant evil and all four suits are equal to each other. You will use these different suits to align your arsenal of plays that will defeat your opponent.
Now the Rounds (the orange cards), there are five in total, and you want to win all of them or a tie will ensue and you're at the mercy of luck from what you can pull in the 5th Round, unless you have a remaining hand you want to keep that may work in your favor.
Next is your coins stash, keep it nearby, you'll be spending it alot depending on how aggressive you play your cards. You expense these for every special card play you choose to play, but don't get too bold, running out of coins before the 5th Round limits possibilities of winning the game.
Lastly, there's the Haven cards, these are your tickets to better cards, if your hand is less than desired. You can burn up to three per turn to pull from your guild but, you don't want to run out of these cards or its instant game over for you.
Below are visual aids of the cards in the deck and their brief descriptions:
- 98 cards (44 good + 44 evil cards + 5 round cards + 4 instructional cards + 2 play combination guide cards) on 310gsm linen quality
- tuckbox is UV varnish coated, just extra protection for the cards
- very sturdy molded resin/plastic golden coins
- 1 velvet coin pouch to house coins
- commemorative miniature 36 page art booklet
- a very durable, hard squared compact size box that houses everything neatly. Top box will be glossy linen finish, with bottom box being glossy smooth. Box can also accommodate sleeved cards.
The game before it was a game started out as a saga of a few characters set in a medieval setting involving the invasion of an alien species and an ethereal parasite they traverse the cosmos with and well their contact with earth back in 1352 AD caused many many problems. I came up with the two sagas (Vanishing Quest and Omen Quest) more than a decade ago, and put the project on hold until I felt I had ample time to bring the characters to life and nourish the story more that would be compelling to tell the world. With the support and audience of backers who like the card game I wanted to share the world of Omen Quest and let it narrate as a visual companion to the lore of the game itself.
All for one and one for all!
Aside from the games stretch goals I have one prime stretch goal that I think everyone will love, its epic, its very animated and its got your name all on it, its an animated short movie capturing both sagas of Omen Quest! You'll be able to see all the characters on the cards breathing and fighting telling the story of Omen in a 30 minute short!
Risks and challenges
I've managed to make sure everything is tidy and correct and of the quality standards I would expect from any other seller. Through this process I've verified my shipping and handling protocol, packaging and the quality assurance of my game with two years of play testing to make sure you will enjoy the game for a long time.
If successfully funded, I plan to go into print production one month after the campaign has ended, wrapping up all necessary art. I am expecting to have the game ready for shipping around autumn. If any complications arise, I will most certainly inform all backers and follow up with updates as they may come.
Please message me if you have any questions at all. And thank you very much for your support!Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
