The Type Writer is a new experimental magazine created by Johanna, Mario, Amelie, Nina, Johanna, Pau, Leonie, Daniel and Florian, all students at the University of Applied Sciences in Potsdam visiting the Typography course of Prof. Sven Völker.

This new magazine follows the footsteps of the successful "Some Magazine" that Prof. Völker published with his students at Art University Burg Giebichenstein in Halle between 2010 and 2015. (somemag.com)

NEW: The Type Writer - Between Poetry and Typography

The current magazine project explores the magic of the written word between poetry and typography. With its 52 pages on nice heavy paper this pilot issue will be printed in a small edition and contain (among others) such exclusive add ons as a great, bright poster by british designer Anthony Burrill. anthonyburrill.com

You can help us make this new project a success.
But foremost this is your chance to get hold of your own copy of this rare indie-mag that will be only sold at very few bookshops worldwide and with an edition size that will be limited.
So, place your order right now and receive your copy soon.

Also take advantage from our various options of group orderings. You might want to order for your university course member and save real money. Also, if you run a shop, you can pre-order here.
To make such a magazine is always a little crazy and anyway, no one needs a new magazine, ... really?

We have found that there is no other magazine that sets itself between those two wonderful worlds of poetry and typography and that there might be a real desperate need for one.
It would be super if you would help us to make this come true.

Risks and challenges
We have calculated the printing costs and are ready to start production as soon as the minimum budget is reached. In that case, the magazine will be distributed latest by the end of august.
