Minos the Saint is an evolving chamber folk group from Baton Rouge, LA. Our sound is a blend of acoustic folk mixed with symphonic brass, with a little accordion and a dash of funky bass thrown in. We spent this past summer in the recording studio working on our first full-length album and are ready to see through its production. In order to make that happen, we need your help!
Our plan is to release the album after the new year, in January 2016. Our costs include mixing, mastering, producing, packaging, and distributing the CD and vinyl.
Minos the Saint is:
Peter Simon - vocals, guitar
Micah Blouin - percussion, vocals
Ben Herrington - accordion, trombone, keyboards, foot bass
Joel Willson - violin, mandolin
Dave Melancon - trumpet
Arisia Gilmore - French horn
Jessica Ottaviano - trombone
Our frequent collaborators who will also appear on the album:
Nick Garrison - trombone
Jose Morales - trumpet
David Hinson - upright bass
Risks and challenges
The hard work is over! Our album has already been recorded. At this point, we need your help to fund the mastering, duplication, packaging, and distribution of this album. If we reach our goal, we will be able to cover all costs associated with the creation of this album.
If we exceed our goal, any additional funds will go towards promoting the album through performances, video production, supplementary merchandise, and artistic collaborations.
Once this album is completed, we will be working hard to have it enjoyed by as many listeners as possible! This album will be a huge milestone for us! However, it is not the end of our creative journey, but the beginning of another level of musical adventures ahead!Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
