Amalgam is a series of posters exploring the themes of grid, colour and texture.
My inspiration came from Japanese 'Tatami' floor matts. I was interested in the way the matts were arranged and decided to make my own versions of the compositions using colour alone. I further developed this by blending together colours to form the abstract compositions seen within the posters. The final step was adding a halftone to the images, in order to give them texture and ensure a high quality print finish.
The posters will be produced to the highest standard, printed at Evolution Print in Sheffield. A large proportion of the funding goal will be spent on print and finishing. (see spec below for more info)
– A1 (594mmx 841mm)
– Full Colour
– Litho 800 off
– 170gsm Munken Lynx Rough White
The funding goal will cover;
– Packaging (A1 poster tube)
– Shipping labels
*Please note, postage is to be paid on top of the reward cost. This is so the overall cost can be significantly reduced giving the project a greater chance of being made a reality. If I am lucky enough to sell all the posters, the remaining money will go into the production of my next Kickstarter project.
Help spread the word
Please help me by sharing the project via social media and blogs, this will help achieve the funding goal and most importantly get your posters printed :-)
You can follow me on Twitter, Behance and Instagram.
Risks and challenges
The only setback would come from either Royal Mail or the printers, this could include delays on production and increase the time taken to print and deliver the posters.
If possible I will try to deliver your posters before Christmas but I have estimated January incase of delays with Royal Mail.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
