About this project
366 days, 366 sketches telling 366 stories, some smaller, some greater. Shared with the community, first online, and now as a series of beautiful books: TEGN - Book One - By Even Mehl Amundsen will be the first of three books that together tell the whole story that started as a doodle on the first day of the year: "draw something today, and the next day and the next" and soon the doodles took on a life of their own, summoning up grand adventures and ideas for a world emerging slowly from the mists of imagination. The tale is only beginning, and we hope you will join us.
The book will be in the classic A4 Format and have 160 pages of the TEGN storyline. Additionally there will be pages with extra content. The final version will be a half-linen hardcover book with leather texture cellophaning and a body printed on 170g matte paper.
STRETCHGOALS - NEW and FIXED!
WHO WE ARE:
As a young viking he ventured forth from his native Norway in search of spoils, art and battle. He plundered in Cornwall, then in Quebec, in Prague, and then in California, but where roaming is grand in it’s way, no harbour is sweeter than that one which is close to home. He now lives in Copenhagen, doing work as a freelance, lending his sword and spurs here and there.
Anne and Spiridon:
Spiridon Giannakis ( giannakis.de ) is a professional Graphic Designer and handsome beard model with over 11 years experience in the publishing world and nearly hundred books on his notch wood. He jumped onboard the Viking ship to create the most beautiful layouts and sexiest hardcover bindings and find the best services possible to produce Even’s book.
Anne Pogoda ( darktownart.de ) started her professional career as a freelance artist in the publishing industry and has been working as an editor for companies such as Ballistic Publishing. On board Even’s ship, her job is designing our Kickstarter campaign and find new grounds online upon which we can settle to spread the word further. She will also quality check all our precious books and goods once they reach the warehouse.
Additionally to the book we will have tiers that include prints and bookmarks. We will also offer a few limited tiers like signed copies of the book and a premium handmade version of TEGN - Book One.
To make sure that your books reach you safely, we have partnered with Figuya.com, a professional online shop. All books will be stored at their warehouse (Berlin), checked for production errors, packed properly (especially when ordering extras that come with your book), and then sent directly to you.
Since the book is quite heavy (hardcover) it needs to be properly packed when shipped, which means we cannot avoid extra shipping costs.

Risks and challenges
Since all content and layout has already been produced and edited, all we have to do now is order the print run.
Therefore, to have maximum control over the project, all our products are made in Germany and will be stored at our Berlin warehouse which belongs to our partner for shipping Figuya who have a lot of experience with crowdfunding projects, like the Minotaura figurine.
Once the books are ready for shipment, Anne will be present at the Figuya warehouse and control every book’s quality before it gets properly packaged and shipped worldwide.
Since we have made pretty good experiences with Figuya in the past, we do not expect any major delays right now. Shall anything unexpected happen that may cause delays, we will inform our backers asap.
