Whooshi is a Hi-Fi amplifier that changes your existing headphones from wired to Bluetooth and allows wireless transmission of high-quality audio from any smartphone, tablet or laptop. And there’s more. The music player App for iOS and Android tailors the sound to your ears so you can hear your music the way it's meant to be heard.
We want to explain why we are here. And why we have such a small goal for funding @ Kickstarter (only $10,000).
We appreciate this incredible community of Kickstarters, innovators, and those who are passionate about new technologies and products that will change our lives in the future. Those who want to be first in using new products and sharing their honest feedback with the community and creators. And, as a result, contribute toward improving them. We want you to be our users first!
We did our homework and learned so much from other campaign failures (see Risks and Challenges and Timeline). Support us if you like the idea and we admire you for sharing any information about the campaign!
We’d love it if you guys could tell your friends, family, and the rest of the world about Whooshi. To show our gratitude to anyone who does, we’ve teamed up with Kickbooster.
For every backer you refer to this Kickstarter project, we’ll give you 10% of their pledge amount. Sign up now on Kickbooster. Once you’ve signed up you’ll get a personal link to share through social media, email, or any other platform you like.
Whooshi has been engaged in audio technology development since 2016. The company’s mission is to adapt sound to each person’s individual hearing level. At the same time, Whooshi understands that the future belongs to wireless sound-transmission technologies, so the company’s first product combines personalized sound with a wireless amplifier.
The best engineers at Infomir, the manufacturer of MAG set-top boxes for IPTV/OTT, are responsible for the technical side of this product. Thanks to the team’s combined experience in hardware product development, Informir’s excellent R&D laboratory, an established network of suppliers and partners, and dedicated customer support staff, many of the company’s products enjoy worldwide popularity.
In addition to its engineering staff, Whooshi collaborates with other experts who work professionally with all aspects of sound, including sound producers, sound designers and musicians. Our team of sound specialists also includes an audiologist and a psychoacoustics expert.
Risks and challenges
We’ve identified all the major problems, they’re familiar because they recur in the same products (portable audio amplifiers, earbuds, headphones). We’ve researched every one of the chief risks likely to appear during product development and manufacturing, and have devised various careful ways of managing them.
Before starting the project @Kickstarter we created a proof-of-concept, along with several prototypes, which have been tested.
We’ve also tested various versions of the PCB and its components.
In June, we went to China (Shenzhen) with the aim of choosing a manufacturing company for the tooling. What’s more, we’ve already started tooling production in order to reduce delivery time. The factory has the capacity to produce large quantities.
For the supply of components, we cooperate with Arrow, a large and reliable partner.
Our experienced team of engineers, marketers and designers have created between them dozens of hardware devices.
We understand the value of the Kickstarter community and we’ll try to be honest in sharing all the information about the project. Thank you for reading this far, and if you sympathize with our ideas and vision please do support us.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
