Hi everyone,

We are have had some further hurdles in our production process for the next generation Brakeboard Trucks. However we now have an official date of completion: 20th July 2014. This is an additional four weeks to our last planned schedule.

Delays have been caused by my changes to the new castings and my improvements to the design. The time required to correct the tooling was underestimated. The new tooling has been completed and test casting made. These test casting had some air pocket issues and more tooling changes were required with more test casts and therefore more delays. Final test samples have now passed inspection.

Booking the casting into full production has proven more problematic than forecast. Primarily the delays have been a case of our suppliers not being upfront about these scheduling issues. They say casting takes four weeks, forgetting to inform us the commencement date is a four week wait. They are booked for casting completion this week. Machining and painting are then to follow. We are now able to give a date because of the confirmed casting schedule.

We will be shipping direct from the factory in China using DHL with tracking. Shipping itself will be 5-7 days. Fingers crossed, there will be no more hurdles. We greatly appreciate your pre-orders and Kickstarter pledges.

Regards

Ben

      Hi,

Hope to be ridding with this new brake set on august in the french alpes.
As Glenn Eisen asked, what color will it be? I sure prefer the black theme (I prefer black trucks for orange wheel).

Thanks for the update! Looking forward to the completion of the new trucks, I have a one of a kind Hi5ber, carbon fiber deck waiting for them. Just curious, what color are the new trucks going to be, for some reason I was expecting red. (Red would just happen to go nicely with the deck.)
