We need your help so we can fund our retail packaging!
Our goal is to raise enough funds to pay for our first batch of retail boxes. We need to pay for 1,000 retail boxes and accessory bags for our first shipment. We plan on outsourcing our packaging production by mid-may. Our production for retail boxes takes place in China and specific costs include production, shipping & import taxes. If we can't find funds for our packaging, our products could be delayed.

Story of Velocity Clip
Two friends from Northern California, business graduates, and electronic consumer experts bring you the Velocity Clip. Swen Duerigen and David Kephart saw a need in the market that had not been filled. A lot of people want POV cameras, but cannot justify the cost. Many of these same people already own smartphones and digital cameras. The Idea David was snowboarding on a beautiful sunny day in Tahoe, CA and he noticed that every other skier/snowboarder had a helmet camera on. While working at a local consumer electronics store he saw hundreds of people buying helmet cameras and he always heard the same questions. "Is there a less expensive option? Is there a version of this that can be used as a normal camera too?" The Velocity Clip was born...

Risks and challenges
One huge risk for our packaging is quality. If we approve our packaging and we miss a flaw in the samples, then we may be stuck with 1,000 or more defective boxes! That would hurt the production. In order to combat this, we have to communicate to our manufacture and be 100% clear on what we expect for our finished project. If we do receive defective boxes, we would have to demand a re-stock.
Another problem we may run into is timing, once we are funded we have to make sure we can fulfill the orders on time. If there is a delay in manufacturing we would have to explain to our backers that we are in full control and the issues will be solved. The best way to combat this is for us to set mandatory deadlines with our manufactures.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
