I am currently searching to find conscientious individuals who are looking to support the "Food Movement."
The local food movements that are occurring in cities all across America are imperative for future generations. Local food is creating significant nourishment while cutting the carbon foot print of food production.
My project consists of building a spring-house while building additional infrastructure for the 2014 growing season.
I am looking to build a small facility that will allow me to tap into a natural fresh-water spring. Once the spring is tapped, I will need an area for the rich-mineral water to flow into. This building will help "process" the water into the barn for the livestock.
A fresh-water spring is imperative to the "life" of my farm. This water type is a natural flowing occurrence in nature that provides a private watershed that must be protected from all possible disturbances. As my livestock enter into the general public's food chain, I must follow all regulations. My fundraising campaign will grant me the essential money to investigate and follow through with all regulations.
In addition to this building, I will use the fundraised monies to help build additional portable chicken pens that will be towed around through the summer season.
Portable "chicken tractors" help provide sustainability on the farm. They prevent me from using the tractor to spread manure nutrients, henceforth cutting my carbon footprint. In addition, the movable chicken tractors help amend soil pH levels while the chickens graze daily.
In order to carry-out construction, I must fundraise an adequate amount to insure a quality building for future generations.
Fundraising will help:
Materials & Supplies
Necessary equipment for food safety
Permits & Licenses

Risks and challenges
When it comes to being a farmer, I have seen many challenges. I know the feeling of risk. I have cried, shed blood, and endured pain in time of turmoil.
I am a very dedicated individual who does not give up. After seven years, my favorite saying is: "It's too easy to quit!" :)
I am ready to embrace any issue that shall arise during this project. From my previous experiences with farming, I have learned to use simple methodology to resolve issues in a swift efficient manner.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
