The main difference between the ceramic and the glass is that the ceramic carafe will have a slightly thicker wall. The thermal properties of ceramic and glass are very similar, but the thicker wall means that the ceramic will absorb a little more heat. This can work for you or against you. To make it work for you, preheat the carafe similar to how you would on a pour over device, wetting the filter and warming the dripper. This will make the carafe warm and hold heat longer and the ceramic carafe will be batter at retaining that heat. If you don't think that you will preheat the carafe then the glass option would be better for you, as it will absorb less heat from the hot coffee.
