WWII Aviation Spotter Cards harken back to the decks of cards given to anti-aircraft gunners during the war to help them spot friendly and enemy aircraft. Each card shows two views of a different airplane, 52 different planes in all, and each suit represents one of the four major nations that battled for air-supremecy during the war: the United States, Great Britain, Germany, and Japan.
Disappointed with the aesthetics of other decks and lack of options I decided to create my own version. I re-illustrated all 52 planes (both views), designed the face of each card, two jokers, as well as the back and the tuck box.
I received many compliments on the deck and decided to offer it to others through Kickstarter.
I know you will enjoy these as much as I have.
Risks and challenges
All of the illustrations are completed and I have already ordered and received several test decks to ensure the quality of the cards. The pictures above are of the actual deck and tuck-box you will receive. Once the goal is met the decks will be ordered and then shipped out.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
