Dropcat is an awesome game with unique, satisfying gameplay. The idea is to bring something of a "classic" to the mobile gaming world.
Dropcat is a project with tons of passion. It's always been a dream of mine to make games, but I didn't think that was possible until early 2014. There were things I told myself that held me back. Dropcat is a realization that I can follow my passion, and if anything I hope I can send a message to others that they can do the same.

I'm Cody Gee, I've been involved with making games for 7 or so years. I've always been passionate about games and I'm very happy to have realized that I can use that passion to contribute to gaming. I'm following my dreams and being a game developer like I always wanted to be, but for some reason never thought I could until about a year ago.
My friend Aaron Roark is doing the music. He's extremely talented and has been playing music for 16 years, writing it for 11. He's a perfect fit for the style of Dropcat.
The way Dropcat plays is unique but familiar. It's also satisfying, intuitive and fun. You probably have played games similar to Dropcat but nothing quite like it. The goal of the game is simple, reach the end of the level and break open the pinata. For some added challenge, beat multiple levels without dying and keep a combo going.
The main element of gameplay is tapping to drop down and bounce off objects, hence the name..
Bubbles are the only thing not controlled by taps. When in a bubble, you swipe the direction you want to launch.
There are rails Dropcat can ride, tapping will make him jump.
So, as you can see, depending on the situation, tapping will do something in every situation. The simple controls work well on a mobile device, but there's challenge and most importantly it's fun!
Stretch goals to be added, once we get closer to our goal. But if we exceed the goal definitely more will be added.

We're new to actually releasing a game, but Dropcat has already been in production for awhile and over the course of that time Aaron and I have grown a lot. We're confident and committed to making this happen and we both have lot of experience with our "jobs". I'm sure things will go fairly smoothly, but if they don't, the sheer amount of commitment we have will get us through the struggles.
