About

Hi Everyone and thanks for visiting our campaign! I'm Sean Lucas and my partner is Casey Corning. Casey invented the FreeCaver almost 6 years ago, we've been developing it on the slopes of Mt. Hood, Oregon ever since and we're really excited to offer you this product!

The FreeCarver is a downhill, bind-less winter sport Board that's equipped with Handlebars which allows riders to move freely on the board. This eliminates the need for bindings or straps. The FreeCarver is an all-mountain ride that's comfortable in any terrain... from the park to the back-country, it's functionality and durability deliver!

The FreeCarver is 100% made in the United States of America, Portland, Oregon. We've teamed up with Deviation Ski's and Snowboards, out of Gresham, Oregon to make all of our decks. This means we make our boards out of the same materials and to the same specs as any of the top brands! We've also teamed up with a local metal shop, out of Clackamas, Oregon to manufacture the frames, handle poles and forks. We've put every ounce of passion we have into this product and we're proud to present it.

Pine FreeCarver Technical Specs:

There are three decks that allow the FreeCarver to function as a downhill Winter Sports Board, and are as follows:

The Top Deck - Attached to the Top of the Frame and is what you stand on.

The Top Deck made out of durable plastic and is fastened to the top of the frame by six bolts, while the Bottom Deck is fastened to the bottom of the frame by four bolts. The Top Deck is spaced two Inches above the Bottom Deck, giving the FreeCarver a low center of gravity. The Top Deck also has Soft Foam Grip Tape which allows the rider to work with optimal traction to freely maneuver the FreeCarver.

The Bottom Deck - Attached to the Bottom of the Frame.

A couple of unique features of the Bottom Deck are how it performs and how it is mounted to the Frame. The Bottom Deck is a Snowboard with a special cut-out on the front giving the Bottom Deck optimal flex when carving and enhancing experience. Coupled with a low center of gravity, the FreeCarver has incredible stability and control. The bottom deck is 100cm in length and is adjustable in two positions. The 1st position is optimal for 60lb to 145lb riders, while the 2nd position is optimal for 150lb to 225lb riders. Stock FreeCarvers come with a 100cm Bottom Deck.

The Front Deck - Attached to the Forks and controlled by the Handlebars.

The Front Deck literally acts like a rudder with the rear portions of the Front Deck having 90 degree angled corners. When steering, they cut into the snow, providing exceptional maneuverability with the Front Deck, all while being controlled by the Handlebars. Starting at 38cm, the rear front deck can increase in length incrementally in centimeters from 38 t0 60cm.The width of the board can also change from 270mm and wider.

The Handlebars provide a means of controlling, maneuvering and steering the FreeCarver. They're BMX handlebars, and the Handlebar pole stands 940mm tall. The Frame's Down Tube angle and Head Tube angle are designed to give the rider the best possible control at any speed. A Smooth Integrated Headset provides easy steering. The Frame is made from 6061 T6 Aluminum, which is Heat Treated and Tig Welded. Both parts of the Handlebar: The Cross-bar and Handle Pole, are made of 4130 Chromoly High Carbon Steel, and designed to be very durable, but still light.  We also have a straight handlebar option for riders shorter in stature. It's made from the same material and measures 22". This will effectively lower the handle bar height by 6" and is interchangeable.

The Forks provide a sturdy connection to the Front Deck for smooth and controlled steering. They're also made of 4130 Chromoly High Carbon steel for ultimate durability. The way the Forks connect the Handlebars to the frame, allow for a superior controlling experience. Utilizing Standard Bicycle component specs, such as 1 1/8" Integrated Headsets, gives the FreeCarver a benefit of a simple and light-weight design.
