"Girth Who?" - A penis based "Guess Who?" parody game
A two-player character guessing game where the characters are different penis cartoons: varying on size, color, circumcision, etc.
One evening, while watching the classical cinematic masterpiece formally known as Superbad, my brother and I came up with the challenge of creating our own board game.
Since I'm not smart enough to put together all of the moving pieces, I decided to set my focus to where Jonah Hill and myself both excelled: drawing dicks.
I knew that if I could create 24 unique dicky-doo's, complete with personalities, props, and witty names, that I could print them off and plug them into the Guess Who? game that stashed away in the closet.
So that's exactly what I did.
I took to Photoshop and began hammering away at my cartoon dongs. These dicks didn't come easy, but man did they feel good (hehe).
After many long and hard nights spent not only creating, but balancing the character traits of these long and hard units, I was able to finally complete my masterpiece. More importantly, I was able to complete the challenge set by my brother.
Girth Who? was born. Much like a below average penis, I did not anticipate for this game to get big while making it. Not to sound cocky, but the 10-15 people I have played my prototype game with have all loved it.
It may be a ridickulous idea, but with the endless hours of fun I've had playing it, along with the surprisingly positive reception of others, I set out to see what it would take to mass produce my passion project so that it could be enjoyed by people across the world who like laughing and making dick jokes as much as I do.
After numerous inquiries with a reputable Chinese board game manufacturer, I have an order lined up for the first round of production. They are demanding a 250 unit (no pun intended) minimum order, which is why I'm here today.
Just how I was when it came to meeting my brother's challenge, I am dead set on getting this game into the hands of others in order to provide them with entertainment, enjoyment, and the chance to share a genuine laugh with whomever they decide to Girth up against.
These funds will go directly towards the production of Girth Who? & your support will earn you one of the first copies of the greatest parody game that I've ever made.
Risks and challenges
Potential risks include the communication barriers between myself and the Chinese manufacturers. They speak English but I didn't really know what else to put.
Also, I've sold and shipped some items before but never to the extent of the quantity I'm aiming for on this one. That said, I graduated Summa Cum Laude with a degree in business, and so I hope to implement the accounting/finance/supply chain management classes that I took in order to effectively facilitate the remaining steps of the process up until and beyond the point of shipment.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
