Shipping Plan and Feature Update

Hi Backers,

Good day!

It’s been a month since our last update. We were busy dealing with production and shipping matters for backers in the US and Canada, so we’re sorry about not replying to all your comments in timely manner. The truth is, last month we were a bit too optimistic about production because some batches didn’t pass spot-quality checking, and in order to make sure all the products are in perfect condition, we returned them to undergo quality testing a second time, which led to shipping delays. We are truly sorry for that! But please don’t worry—production is going smoothly now.

As of today, we have shipped out all the 2-eufyCam-plus-1-HomeBase packages batch-by-batch and in chronological order. The first batch has already arrived at US customs and should arrive at your door within 1-2 weeks. As for the latest US 2+1 combo, backers will receive their packages around the 10th of November. The other US backers’ eufyCam will be ready for shipping on the 7th of November and will receive those before December 5th. For backers in the US who pledged $800 or more, we will separate your rewards into different packages to avoid high customs taxes, so please, don’t worry if you only receive a portion of your reward from one delivery - the other parts are still on their way. We apologise for the inconvenience caused.

For orders going to Canada, timing is the same as US backers - products will be ready for shipping on November 7th, which means you’ll receive eufyCam before the 5th of December.

And for backers who ordered a combination of more than 16 eufyCam cameras and/or sensors, we’re throwing in a free HomeBase station because each station only supports up to 16 connected devices.

We will email the tracking number for your DHL delivery once we have it, and will also send you guys the EufySecurity app download link and installation guide book to make sure you enjoy using eufyCam immediately once you receive it.

As for backers in Europe, Australia, and Singapore, your order will be ready for shipping around the 14th of November and we will keep you posted about the progress.

      Hi, you said that orders for Europe (Italy) would be processed on November 14. I have not received any communication about it or a tracking code. Can you communicate correctly? Thank you

      Have you really made any deliveries yet? This entire process smells bad. I am in the US and bought the 2 cam plus base... then added an extra cam during confirmation. Where does that put my ETA?

      @Brian Ayson This is Kickstarter where delays are common and delivering by the ESTIMATED projected date is the exception. If you are expecting ontime delivery, stay far away from crowdfunding projects.

      While production and shipping delays are understandable, the lack of any communication explaining the same is disconcerting. I too wanted to install the cameras before the holiday season and am very disappointed about the delays.

      I received a DHL tracking number on Nov. 2, but the tracking status hasn't moved from "EN ROUTE TO DHL ECOMMERCE DISTRIBUTION CENTER" for the past 11 days.

      This is getting ridiculous. Now getting promotions for new “ gear” and still not received original purchase .
      This is a scam. No updates. No delivery. How do I get my money back?

      Past Nov 10 and still no package, tracking number, or even an update (besides the ad)... status update, please!

      Monthly updates are fine during development, but when you're in fulfillment, they should be more frequent - If you want us to back future projects, I suppose...

      I'm backer 3123 and still have not received any tracking numbers or update as to when to expect my cameras. It is frustrating to see others who backed this later on receiving their cameras.

      In the US here, backed the two cam and homebase, plus added a cam during survey email. No tracking number yet. Not concerned yet, just letting others know not everyone has received any tracking.

      FYI, I received mine Monday in Seattle WA and was backer 8123.
      I was delivered without a tracking number so was surprised when the package was on the front porch.

      I got my package and am excited to use the cameras, but I'm having trouble getting started and can't seem to find a way to contact help directly. Can you please let me know how to do that?

      Early this morning, I plugged in the homebase and used the app to get things connected. It found the homebase and then said it needed to upgrade it and then a circle spins. It's been all day and it still says “homebase is upgrading”!! I deleted the app and re-added and re-logged in. I unplugged the homebase and turned it off for a bit. Still at the same loop when I retry. It says a homebase has already been added and needs to upgrade - my only option is to press the upgrade button and when I do this I just get the “homebase is upgrading” with the spinning circle. How do I get out of this loop and get it to work!?!

      HI, thought that this may help those of you who are waiting for tracking numbers.

      I have not received a tracking email from Kickstarter or Eufy but the USPS informed delivery service that shows you what's being delivered to your house (sign up for free at https://informeddelivery.usps.com ) shows that I have a DHL Global Mail / USPS delivery that arrived in Jamaica, N.Y. via DHL Email Commerce on Oct. 22nd and was processed at a DHL location in Compton, CA awaiting transfer to the USPS to be delivered to Los Angeles with a notice on the DHL Global Mail website that reads:

      Greetings: Your package experienced a delay while in transit to you. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience. Kindly allow an additional 24 - 48 hours for delivery. Thank you for your patience.

      The shipment information reads:
      Weight: 5.0923 lbs
      Service: DHL SM Parcel Plus Ground

      You can get the DHL tracking information at: https://webtrack.dhlglobalmail.com by getting the USPS tracking number through the USPS Informed Delivery website and entering the USPS tracking number into the DHL Global Mail tracking website.

      Thanks for the update, I look forward to getting them, and trying them out. I also have a lot of friends at work asking me about them so can you please ad info for ad ons, or reorders if they do match the hype from videos that I think they are going to. My only complaint if any is the lack of communication, as people scramble to the site trying to figure out what is going on, some one really dropped the ball there, but this helps a lot.       Those of you stating that you got delivery already can you mention if you received tracking info 1st. I was a very early backer so just wondering what to expect. Hopefully it just shows up very soon. Also, who delivered package? DHL?

      I dont think a lot of people commenting really understand what Kickstarter is all about or what it takes to pull off something like this. Patience is a virtue and a necessity on Kickstarter

      I received my camera yesterday 10/25/18. It looks GREAT ! Compared to Arlo. This looks like quality items. The only problem is that they forgot to send the 16 mb Mirco Card. I called them and they are shipping one out right away. Anyone waiting for there new cameras will be very glad they invested in this kickstarter!

      Initially, the Eufy camera was scheduled to reach by Sept'2018 but now looks like it moved to December'2018. I'll be out of station during December'2018 and was really hopeful to install those cameras prior to departure. If I don't receive it by November'2018 how to postpone the shipping to Jan'2019? I don't want it to be stolen in my absence. Please let me know.

      Your home page is not helpful whatsoever. Tells me to update my email, then there is no method to do so. Won't let me sign in. Wasted an hour just trying to change my shipping address because this entire fiasco has taken so damn long. I'm requesting a refund. Thank you.

      Please make sure IFTTT is supported - manual activation makes this kind of product so much less useful, especially if HomeKit won’t be supported.

      When it comes to the range:

      The cam distance from the Homebase can reach a max of 300 ft if within line-of-sight and in a clean environment. You will find distances of 25-30 ft if there are two or more walls between the cams and the Homebase.

      For EU was September. Than October. Than November. Than maybe I will get on December.

      That's not what I paid for.

      Also the range is now reduced. Ok was a typo but I considered 300ft, not 25. And 25 is not what I need.

      You mentioned the lower tiers but nothing about the top end. Just curious.

      Looking at the comments, you can tell that Kenny and Doug are noobs to KickStarter. 2 month over run and they are spazzing out. Jeez, KickStarter is not for you. 2 months is nothing. I have had things 2 years late. It’s normal if something is 6 months overdue so just chill out.

      Also, people going mad over the 30 meter claim. Please read the comments before spouting your hate, they have already said it’s a mistake and is actually 300 meters.

      I agree with Benjamin Lippert's statement and would complain also about your data sheets:

      There are two main systems for measuring distances and weight, the Imperial System of Measurement and the Metric System of Measurement. Most countries use the Metric System, which uses the measuring units such as meters and grams.

      So while mass selling to the whole world (and not only the US) and most people and your customers use the metric system, why the hell you only mention all data imperialistic?!

      At least call up both system data's from now on. Don't only take matter of your US customers (first). Be fair and don't forget the huge amount of NON-US customers. Thanks!

      Any chance at all (be real and sure), that NON-US customers will get their cams BEFORE this year ends?!
