eufyCam Starts Shipping Next Week!

Hey Backers,

Good Day!

We’re busy arranging the production of eufyCam, so we haven’t been able to communicate with you guys lately. Sorry for that. But we’re excited to tell you that production is going well, and finally ready for us to ship eufyCam out of factory—batch-by-batch!

As mentioned previously, we will start shipping to the US first, where most of the backers are. Our shipping plan is to deliver the US rewards in bulk from our factory in China—by air—to our logistics company’s US warehouse. From there, we will sort delivery to send into backers’ hands via DHL. It will take some time for all the eufyCams to arrive in the US and to let the logistics company arrange all the shipping details, so please be patient. We will send your tracking information by email to you once we have one. Backers in the US and Canada should receive their tracking information and get their packages in October.

For backers in the US who pledged $800 or more, we will separate your rewards into different packages to avoid high customs taxes, so please, don’t worry if you only receive a portion of your reward from one delivery - the other parts are still on their way. We apologise for the inconvenience caused.

As for backers in Europe, Australia and Singapore, your eufyCam will be ready by the end of October, as we mentioned in the previous update.

      Loving my 2 camera system.. set up was extremely easy and the picture quality and sound is really impressive.. my only compliant is even on the highest sensitivity, the motion detection seems to fire up a bit too late. Catching only the backs of people as they walk by.. I might need to keep the camera plugged and have it constantly record.. which will be an issue since there's no power outlets on the porch

      Still nothing, it is November and we were told that the items were to ship last month. Now I can't justify my backing the project with my wife that was supposed to have shipped something by now. It's not that I don't feel that some year they may deliver, it's that I don't know if will be 2020 or 2021. Either way, no updates it not good news here.

      Wife wants to demand the money back as nothing materialized magically on our door and there are no updates to backers about their delays. Hard to refute her thinking here, as I have ZERO input from Anker on the product when it was promised to ship in October and it is now November.

      Other products actually deliver on promises. This one appears to be delivering pictures, drawings and delays. Will not be backing anyone else until this kind of practice is eliminated.

      As a FYI for those looking for an update. I found this on the Comments page:

      Thank you for your patience everyone. It has been incredibly busy on our end with the preperation of shipments. We didn't want to get back to you all with an update until we had some concrete information.

      As you all know, we have experienced some delays but we are still on track to get US orders out by the end of this month. Tracking information will be sent to your email as soon as it's avaliable.

      For international customers: Shipping will start early next month.

      Again, thank you everyone for your patience and we're glad you're with us. Thanks for making Eufycam a successful Kickstarter! We know you'll be using those Eufycams of yours soon and we want to hear your experience when you do!!

      EufyCam it’s time for an update. You owe it to the supporters or should I say suckers that invested in your camera. No communications is the worst thing a company in the early stages can do. You need to give us an update before I start the process of disputing my credit card charges.

      Further feedback, when I asked Kickstarter, following their initial response below:

      Projects that launch on Kickstarter are often very early in the development process. This gives backers an opportunity to be a part of the creative process from the beginning. It also makes backing a project on Kickstarter very different from purchasing an item in a store. With projects of this size, often creators may need a bit of extra time to respond to backer messages, process refunds, etc. Often, the most productive thing a backer can do is to cheer a creator on despite bad news or delays. I understand that "wait" is perhaps not the answer you've wanted to hear--for that I apologize. I can confirm that these creators have been active on the site and are probably just working through their backlog of requests just like yours. We appreciate your patience in the meantime.

      I sent a note to Kickstarter, and they replied as follows:

      Thanks for bringing this to our attention. I’m sorry to hear you’re frustrated with this project.

      It’s important to remember that most projects on Kickstarter are in the early stages of development. That makes it hard to predict timelines. A lot can change from prototype to production, too. It’s not uncommon for refinements and modifications to push back a project’s estimated delivery date. It’s all part of the creative process.

      Our biggest expectation of creators, especially when a project is delayed, is that they communicate with backers through updates or messages. If that hasn’t happened, appeal to the creator. Encourage them to post more information.

      If you’ve already messaged a creator via Kickstarter and haven’t received a response, consider reaching out through other channels. This could be the creator’s own website or social media channels, where they may be more responsive.

      #1: Anker a brand I know/trust/love (despite the issues i have had with some products, they replace quickly for satisfaction or refund/sidegrade) wouldn't just let this become a scam with their name on it
      #2: Solar Legion a project I backed took MONTHS from the estimated month to ship/deliver...

      Maybe they encountered an issue thats screwed everything up, or maybe only something up, who know until they decide to post, but not posting isnt an imminent sign of a scam or cause for worry... You guys act like you have never participated in a kickstarter before :/

      I still worry whether this camera to base station will have the range I need given that the base needs to be plugged into ethernet, however I'm just waiting like the rest of these commenters... Would be nice if Eufy gave us some sort of update - it is October 12th and October is almost half way over.

      Richard, do you realize that the year battery life is not based on 24/7 recording? They base it on 10 clips at 30 seconds each or 5 minutes recording per day. For a security camera, that is very low. Just wanted to make sure you knew.

      As a seasoned investigator, these pictures are identical to the graphic representations used to sell the product long before one camera was produced. China has decades of deception technology and nothing from them has any merit. When actual US Backers report they have received their Camera and the first "one-year" battery proves to last more than ninety days, then I will believe these camera's exist. I have one of these finished inventions which are unrelated to Eufy or KickStarter but from a similar site. It also appeared to solve a major problem and it when shipped, I quickly discovered it DID NOT perform as the video indicated. It was a SCAM and in the NEW US, where criminal activity is now acceptable, the company continues to sell their product. I will give it to a production who will make a You Tube video of how it DOESN'T WORK. Not defective, but the intended outcome of the design did not perform as expected. That didn't stop them from making millions selling them since all regulation in the US has been suspended by the current Administration
