Thirty-two (32) years ago today the father of modern Chicago blues Muddy Waters past away.
Muddy's influence is tremendous, not just on blues and rhythm and blues but on rock 'n' roll, hard rock, folk, jazz, and country; his use of amplification is often cited as the link between Delta blues and rock 'n' roll.
The Kendall Wall Band had the honour of playing with a number of members of Muddy Waters band throughout their run at The Black Swan ... people like: Carey Bell, Pinetop Perkins, Luther "Guitar Junior" Johnson and Jerry Portnoy.
As a special tip of the hat to the king ... and his fans I'd like to present The Kendall Wall Band and the great Jerry Portnoy.
