Why?
This project has been set up to fund a male nude calendar for 2019. I previously self funded small qualities which sold out before Christmas, while still receiving enquiries asking for more. By this time it is far too late to print additional copies. Year on year I increased the quantity and sold more but still ran out. It is all too easy to over produce your product and not sell them all, which is very bad business for the calendar market. So it's simple really, I want to continue producing the calendars and also reach a much wider audience.
Backers will be pre-ordering the calendar a couple of months before it is produced, and also other items should they choose those options.
What can you expect?
The models chosen for this calendar are previous customer favourites, and many that have not been included in the three previous editions. Each month this calendar will present a stunning A3 full frontal male model in glorious colour. As a bonus for those who would like more than just the calendar, there are options for additional photographic prints in various sizes and quantities. The calendar will be the same great quality as my previous editions.
The optional prints 'tech info'
The images will be printed on a Lustre Crystal Archive Paper. This is a silver halide paper, designed exclusively to produce high-image-quality prints. This paper incorporates latest silver halide emulsion technology, coupler technology and layer design technology to deliver enhanced reproduction, white purity, image stability and handling of the photo. The lustre texture has a slightly stippled surface that gives this paper a semi-matt finish, with deep blacks and more forgiving on fingerprints.
Model selection may differ slightly to those featured in the video. If this project is successfully funded I may arrange to photograph some more guys especially for it.
Timetable
I will update backers every step of the way once funded.
This fundraiser will run throughout July. If successfully funded the calendar will be produced during August/September, including any additional shoots. The printers will be sent all artwork and specifications in September. I would hope to ship all items by mid to late October, early November at the latest.
Risks and challenges
I have produced books and calendars before and already have the printers in place ready to produce all products.
If the goal is met, the funds will be used to produce & ship the calendar and other printed material by late October. Items will be shipped in a strong stiff plain cardboard calendar envelope.
If the goal is not met then your money is not taken.
