About Sketchbook iPad Pro Case

Our first impression on iPad pro is clear: This is a great tool for artists and designers to carry around. It will replace the sketchbook in our backpack, which has been with us from the moment we pick up the pencil and learn how to draw a line. Modern technology has changed the way we draw, but the affection will not fade over time.

So we decided to create a case to retain this special bond with sketchbook, without sacrifice the protection and function. We present to you : The wire bound iPad pro case.

 


We use wire-bound to make the iPad case looks more like sketchbook, This is a bold decision. Nobody has ever try to use wire bound in iPad case, it looks fragile for a expensive device. We spent months to try different binding spines in the market. The ones we found work well, but not perfect. we were expecting something more solid.

So we decided to customize the wire, use reinforced material (Cold formed steel, 1.35mm Thickness). The final test was great, the material is hard enough and it won't jam when you open / close the case. 

To give a better protection, We used 3 layers different material:

Bicast (PU) Leather in the surface to prevent scratch 

+ Hard plastic in the middle, absorb impact

+ Microfibre inner to protect the screen

Inside we use 2 straps to secure your Apple pencil, Prevent it from scratch and missing.

2 stand mode : Landscape and Portrait, for watching movie or reading
