Behind the Scenes
Here are some pics from the last month!
Before I left to NY I was helping a friend shoot a short film The Miner.
I did some drawings on set and also helped with makeup/wardrobe. Mostly I just did the slate and baked cookies.
Got a new desk and installed a new shelf. Also added a lot of new lighting. The space keeps getting better and better.
New York and Connecticut:
Me and my best friend forever Sarah Valdez.
Visiting my friend Jeffrey at Yale. He took me to the rare book library in New Haven.
Hennesy Youngman in NY:
While in NY we all submitted our work into the show Itsa Small, Small World curated by Hennesy Youngman.
Unfortunately we couldn't attend the opening because we had to leave town before then. But it was a really cool idea and awesome to be a part of. The drawing above is mine, buried within a mound of other works of art.
Problems getting home:
I missed my flight and got trapped in JFK for over 12 hours overnight. I got a standby on an overbooked flight to Seattle first thing in the morning. 5 minutes before take off they announced they had room for one more. ME! I was relieved, because my only other option was to drop $800 on a new ticket.
I got to spend the day in Seattle and eat lots of delicious cheap food while I waited for the next train to Portland.
Back in Portland:
Below is a picture of the outside of my studio. I'm the second floor, second to last window on the left.
(Below) All my paper that came in the mail! 5 whole rolls!
( Above and Below) Getting rewards together..
Taking them to the post office!
Getting back to Work!
A piece I'm finishing up.
Yet another Studio Addition:
Was riding my bike with a friend late at night, and found this awesome couch! I've been looking for a good baby couch for naps and meditation. And here we go! And it didn't cost me a dime. It folds out into a small bed, but that part is a little broken.
Alright, that's all for now! Thanks for checking it out :) :)
