It's time for a new album, and I have some songs that I'm really excited to share with you. With your help, I'll be able to go back into the studio with Brian Packer (who produced my last album, Kamikaze Love) and make the album of my dreams.
It will feature songs like "All In," "What I Thought I Wanted," "Mary," "Abilene," "Can't Help Where the Wind Blows," "Bigger Things," "With Your Heart," that yet-to-be-titled-song about having a date for the Apocalypse, and a few others (at least ten songs total. Have a strong opinion on song choices? Let me know!)
The true cost of making this album (and my dream-come-true goal) will be closer to $15,000, but I'm setting my Kickstarter goal at $10,000, and hoping that there are some folks out there who believe in these songs as much as I do. Every bit helps, and please spread the word. Thanks for allowing me to have my dream job. I'm so very lucky...
***Update! Under song sponsorships, "All In" is spoken for. Feel free to email me about song choices.***
Risks and challenges
Well, making an album is always a challenge - we need to get these songs out of my head and into a form that can be shared. But I like that kind of challenge.
Other challenges: coming up with the additional funds to promote the album (unless this kickstarter goes REALLY well), but if we can meet my initial kickstarter goal, that's enough to ensure that the album can and will be made (yay!).Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
