Long Night is a new third person survival horror game for the PC, Linux and Mac, and later PSN and XBL. It will be released in English and French on May 2014.
Long Night WANTS YOU to reconnect with the atmosphere of classic Survival Horror like Resident Evil 1, Silent Hill 2, Haunting Ground and Obscure, in a new intrigating way!
To do so we re-develop the well known mechanisms we enjoyed in those games as Exploration of strange territories, puzzling Enigmas and Bosses to fight against.Then we add our ideas about the psychological roots of fear, our originality in story tellling, and our artistic touch, to make Long Night a unique gaming experience in the world of Survival Horror.

This black tale takes place in an American holiday wood camp, at the end of summer 1998. The main characters of the game are a group of four teenage friends, accustomed to meet there every year. Spending their last evening together telling horror stories for fun, they find themselves plunged into a real nightmare, bringing their darkest secrets to life, tormenting them. All of a sudden they loose contact with one another, and the real game begins:
Becoming David, you will try to find and help your friends. But while doing so, you will have to face the monsters lurking in the darkness of their hearts (and maybe in yours, too) without losing your sanity.
David will discover not only all kinds of family secrets, but also Native American folklore, urban legends, Jewish myths and Voodoo magic, learning more about himself and the duplicity of the human mind through these different cultures.
Long Night is a story between reality and supernatural. The fear comes from realistic family drama. The paranormal is used to give life to those fears and force the characters to face their own unconscious problematic.

As an independent team, we, Trickster Face, have the freedom to make our own decisions concerning every aspect of the game, and we are determined to pursue our artistic visions as far as our forces, our imagination, and money can take us.
Long Night will be
a wholly original game with an unique gameplay.
But we also know, that real creation is based on tradition, on the appropriation of what our ancestors made best.

The Mansion of the Camp's owner will be dedicated not only for this strange man's private rituals, but also to immortalize the funders who help us on Kickstarter.
Their name will be visible for every player when they explore the cabin to resolve its mysteries.
It won’t be just a list of names but an original part of the background.(maybe one of your fingers, in a jam glass filled with formalin ? who can know today....but anyway, dont hesitate to send a finger. it can't do no harm)

We gave to these packages names of some friends of ours, friends who you might know, and who you might find under your bed one of these cold winter nights.
The design of the rewards is not definitive, These are just temporary illustrations to give you an idea of what you will receive.
We are a bunch of old mates who grew up, next to each other, with a gamepad in our hands since nearly our birth. After video game studies and work experiences in various studios on both sides of the Atlantic Ocean, we have quit our jobs and gathered last spring, in our home country (France) to realize our dream: creating our independent video game studio: Trickster Face
We will work hard and have long nights in order to plunge you into THE Long Night, our first game, during spring 2014!
Risks and challenges
Long Night is currently 50% complete and will be finished and launched, whatever the results of the Kickstarter campaign might be.
We will use all the funds raised through the campaign to make your game become an experience even more frightening, more beautiful, more puzzling, more well-rounded and polished.
The only risk goes with the challenge. We want to create the best game we can, so if Long Night next spring does still not fit with our ambition of quality, we will have to adapt the release date. We prefer to give it one more month of development,and be sure to give you the Long Night you deserve!
