Look guys, we get it. It's fun to get high sometimes. At least that's what we've heard from other people who do drugs. We don't. Definitely not. But the people we know who do partake in illegal substances tend to come up with some really weird and sometimes hilarious stuff. We believe the world deserves a chance to read some of these things and laugh just as hard as we have. That is where the idea for this book came from. However, while we could just collect these examples from people we know, we think it would be a lot more enjoyable to hear what more people have to say.
That is where the idea for this Kickstarter came from. Sure, we do need money to actually make this book but that's not the main reason for this campaign. Our goal is to collect as much unique, absurd, and hysterical material as we possibly can to compile them into the best examples of what the human mind comes up with while on drugs.
Like I mentioned in the video, this material can be in the form of a conversation, notes from a certain situation, a drawing, a quote, or just a thought that may have popped into your mind, all while under the influence of drugs. It does not matter what it is, as long as it is original and funny. We are working with a very talented graphic designer who is then bringing these words to life with original images. Here are a few that we have made so far:
We are planning on picking between 150-200 of the best submissions to illustrate and include in the final book. A minimum donation of $1 allows you to submit to us any material you may have and it will be put into consideration. If you like the idea but have nothing to submit, but know someone who might, please share this page with them.
You can submit any and all materials to:
****** email@example.com *****
Please include if you would like to take credit for your submission of if you would prefer to remain anonymous. If not specifically stated, we will default to keeping submissions anonymous.
Risks and challenges
The biggest challenge would be if we do not get enough submissions. However, we will continue to collect entries in more ways than just Kickstarter.
This would be the first time that we attempt to get anything published, so we don't have prior experience. However, we do have a small team of very intelligent, dedicated people who would be able to work together to overcome any obstacles that may arise.
*By submitting your material to 'firstname.lastname@example.org' you give us the right to use your work for our book, without any expectation of compensation in any way, shape or form.
*We are not advocating drugs use in any way. In fact, we suggest you do not do drugs. Any drugs you consume are your own choice and this campaign takes no responsibility for anything that results in your choices.
