and featuring Playboy Playmates Patrice Hollis, Christine Smith and Tishara Cousino.
Dirty Dealing is 95% complete and will be finished by 2nd Quarter 2013. The picture is "in the can" and the editing is done, now we're just finishing up the audio, music and some 3D elements and we're there! The additional money needed is for some final post production elements, a 3D premiere, and a P&A (promotional funds) for a limited theatrical run in Las Vegas, Los Angeles, New York and hopefully other cities.
As the film is turning out even better than expected, we have high hopes and are excited about seeing an indy film shot in native 3D make it to the big screen. We would love to see some of our Kickstarter supporters join us for the premiere!
The thing is, since we're looking to do a 3D premiere and theatrical run, we need what's called a DCP (Digital Cinema Package) which the theaters need to project the film in large format 3D. The process of generating this file costs almost $25,000, hence the primary reason for this Kickstarter campaign. Once we have the DCP, the file can be replicated for multiple theaters, but the initial process is what's so expensive.
We have a list of additional markets where we're planning to release the film theatrically as well as a targeted promotional campaign with some unusual elements to it. If we exceed our Kickstarter goal, we'll be adding more information and stretch goals related to an even wider theatrical release!
Thank you so much for your time and support!

2 MINUTE THEATRICAL TRAILER
Here are a few scenes from "Dirty Dealing." Please note these are from the "rough cut" of the film and unfinished, but they're getting close!
Scenes 28/29: Kora (Frida Farrell) and her friend Lexie (Madelon Lane) meet with casino owner Dean Belding (Michael Madsen) and manager Carter (C. Thomas Howell) to discuss Kora's sick son and to ask for help. The "Sin Pit Pussycasts" at the photo shoot for the calendar they are putting together for the fundraiser to help get Kora's son get the treatment he needs.
Scene 56: Casino manager Carter meets with Dean to discuss the guests showing up on property with calendars trying to get autographs from the Sin Pit Pussycats. This takes place after Dean reneged on his promise to let the girls sell the calendars on property and he's forced to deal with them anyway.
Scene 18: Kora meets with her friend Raine (Ariana Madix) to discuss the fact that the health insurance at the casino they work for won't cover the cancer treatments needed to save Kora's son.
INTERNATIONAL SUPPORTERS: Unfortunately, shipping overseas is made more costly by the fact that some of our rewards require "oversized" packaging/postage. If you're interested in just a digital copy of the script, or just the signed cover page, postage at the $75 level can be dropped back to $13. Posters create another problem as they will be rolled and need to be mailed separately. A folded poster at the $100 level can drop the postage down to $31 (as it can all be sent together). A folded poster at the $125 level will drop the postage to $42.
International shipping prices should apply to most countries. Extenuating circumstances and/or rates may impact our ability to deliver certain rewards, but we will make every effort possibly to honor the requests of each and every supporter. Please contact us with any other postage/shipping questions.
Risks and challenges
Every film project yields its own unique challenges, but our greatest difficulty was self-imposed - the decision to shoot in 3D! Although starting out more slowly than originally anticipated, the 3D business continues to grow, particularly in many countries outside the U.S. In fact, there are now more than 55 television stations that broadcast exclusively 3D content, 24/7! Many of these networks and cable channels are hungry for programming as we found at the last American Films Market in Santa Monica. We have about 30 companies wanting more information about "Dirty Dealing 3D" when it's finished, and the majority of those have made it clear the 3D aspect is a big selling point for them.
Of course, shooting in 3D proved complicated. "Dirty Dealing" is the first feature film to be shot on the revolutionary Panasonic 3DA1 camera, which is the first "self-contained" 3D camera to hit the market. This new technology presented its own unique set of benefits and drawbacks, but we quickly got past the hurdles and fell into our 3D groove.
Even now, in post production, 3D presents additional work and challenges for our post production team, but as evidenced by the 3D trailer we were showing at the American Film Market, we now have the bull by the horns and a great product almost ready to bring to the big screen!
