I've been writing music and singing for as long as I can remember. When I was thirteen years old I started playing guitar as it was the easiest instrument to travel with to accompany vocals. It's only been recently that I've discovered some of the tools needed to record and market my own album without becoming involved in an industry that I don't really want to get that deep into. With all due respect to those artists who ARE very talented who are quite popular in music now, I don't like the music business and I'd rather not be a part of it.
So some close friends and I have been working on this, my first album, "How To Be A Superhero". My plan is to write the stories behind all of the songs and offer a book alongside the album as well. I sing the lead vocal parts, play guitar and bodhran on the album, as well as occasionally singing harmony, and all the music is original.
I will post on bandcamp the rough recordings of the songs I plan to put on the album, and I will link those here as I get them posted. I'm hoping to have the album finished within the next year but I don't have a schedule yet. I need the money to buy recording equipment, to help support my fiance and I while I work on the project (as I am currently not working a day job), and to buy the first prints of the CD's to sell. I haven't narrowed down exactly what I want to use as rewards yet, but I am planning to offer tracks, copies of the album, copies of the book that goes along WITH the album, autographed copies of the album and the book, and handmade knitted objects (probably hats). As soon as I have a definite plan I will post it here. :)
My bandcamp page, which has several of the songs that will be on the album, is here:

And here's the title track if you'd like a free listen!

(please note that the recording quality WILL be much better on the final version.)
