About this project
We, The Dirty River Boys, have been touring, riding the highways, and pounding the pavement for two years now. We have given you, the fans, two EPs consisting of 10 original songs, played 300+ live shows, and written a lot of new material along the way. Now, its time for us to go into a state-of-the-art recording studio and record all our new songs that you have heard live. The Kickstarter campaign will allow us to make this record our way. We will be able to record it ourselves, capture our live show energy, and most of all give you at least 15 songs.
$25k or BUST!
To record in a studio, mix and master tracks, design album artwork, package and duplicate the CDs, will cost us $25,000. This is where you, our fans, come in. Since we have chosen not to sign with a label, we need your help to raise funds to record our first full length album. Kickstarter is a great resource to make this happen, as it has funded many other artistic endeavors. The catch is if we do not meet our goal of $25,000 in 60 days, we get nothing. Back to square one. We hope you, our fans, believe in us enough to help make this happen.
However, we would like to raise more than our goal of $25,000. This would allow us to do many other things. For one, hire a publicity firm to help us market the record and the band the right way. This can cost as much as $3000 a month. We would also invest in our shows by purchasing new equipment and gear to bring our fans a better live performance. Lastly, we would use any left over money as "tour support." This allows us to reach new markets in new cities that we previously could not afford to get to. So the fans get to decide where we play next.
We have 60 days to reach our goal. We are confident that with your help we can make this happen. This is what we love to do and we are thankful everyday for the greatest fans!
