Great update today - aside from nice anecdotal info, how about adding some hard facts, i.e. Timeline...!?!??

We are all well aware that we are still far from the project's deadline. It would still be nice to give updates even at this stage. Current and next steps, challenges and so on.

    3. Brian Slattery on October 13

      Well that's been disappointing

Come on guys, it's been over three months...give us something here. Just let us know you're still alive, even.

Up date please, people who purchase from Kickstarter like to stay informed on how their money has been invested.

So are you guys still doing this or???

      Hi folks
Last update in July states you are 'excited to share news very soon'. What's your definition of 'very soon' - to me 3 months is the opposite of soon...;-)
Cmon guys- share some news, photos, activities you've been up to. I am sure there is lots to tell

    9. Dirk Kirchberg on September 14

      So what's going on?

    10. Karin on September 14

Agreeing with those below; would like to get an update on how the project is going.

Definitely would like more regular communication, or at least an estimated timeline.

    13. Saba Malik on August 20

Any updates? Would definitely appreciate any kind of timeline :)

Wouldn't mind an update either. Second hand accounts for a NY tour don't really mean much for regular backers. I trust there'll be an awesome cookbook by March '18 that I can't wait to dive right into, but any sort of transparency (even a general timetable is great) on the project would be reassuring :-)

    15. Jessica Kellogg on July 2

Did the tours happen? What's the status of the cookbook? The great thing about Kickstarter is the interaction with your backers. We supported your vision, the least you can do is keep us updated.

Echoing all those below who would very much like an update! An email on 22 May said you needed "another week or two" before a cookbook announcement...

Any chance of early recipes to tide us over, they're already in text and you have the money, or a PDF option for those who have funded.

Congratulations on your project. I actually hope you don't try to do the videos without enough money to do that well; and that you instead put the resources into doing a really exceptional job on and expanding the cookbook. I am looking forward to it!

Congratulations and I'm looking forward to exploring your lives in my kitchen! I grew up in a faraway place that was home and so the ideas of refuge and hospitality (to strangers first was the origin of that word!) and welcome have been tumbling around in my head for years. I pray you many good things! -- Kimmie

Congratulations! I am thrilled to learn that you have far exceeded your goal for this fabulous project! As a retired Family & Consumer Sciences teacher, this project is particularly meaningful to me. Cooking together, trying new foods, sharing a meal, building relationships...we need more of this!

I wish you had an option for the cookbook AND recipe cards -- so we wouldn't have to wait so long! Or maybe one recipe for the cookbook buyers (a sneak peek, if you will.)

In addition to the hardcover, I would also love to be able to get a PDF of this book (for use on a tablet, quite handy in the kitchen). Any chance of that, at some point? Lots of book kickstarters also offer PDFs nowadays (depends on publisher, of course).

    37. IOK Labs Inc on March 27, 2017

Amazing project, love it. I see a great way to extend your cookbooks on an amazing platform that we have,…

We have created an award-winning (won award from Nestle - ) cooking platform for an amazing cooking experience, you have great content, we can make a huge difference, especially because we are tied up with Nestle. If it sounds interesting or even you want to discuss, let me know -

@Marcel: thank you Marcel! We will be giving the option, and maybe we should inform our other backers early on.

Congrats on a great initiative...! Quick question / suggestion - for the 10 recipes provided, could you provide backers with the option to choose from 2 different sets? One being vegetarian recipes - the other 'normal' recipes? I think this may even help you increase your backer numbers as well. Thx in advance for considering!

I love trying new foods and am excited about this project. Please keep in mind those of us that do not live in a major city and will have difficulty finding "offbeat" ingredients. Spices we can order thru the internet, but fruits and vegetables can be a real challenge, if not impossible. Perhaps you could include acceptable substitutions and/or internet sources. Good luck with this very worthwhile venture.

      Hi there,

I don't know if the cookbook has already been fully made, but would it be possible to include a page for us Europeans where you put in a conversation for measurements from imperial to metric? I know it's not hard to find these online, but since its my only American cookbook It would be slightly annoying to have to look up everything on the Internet. If not that's also okay. I'd probably put an inlay in the book.

I work with refugees in my own country. I think this is a wonderful initiative! Keep up the good work!

I've backed this project for $1, just so I have access to this comment box -

Can you please list some of the recipes this project will have? It's very light on details.

Thank you for bringing the world to my kitchen! I can't wait. I will probably never be able to visit these countries, so I'll travel to them through your food and stories. Thank you for sharing your part of the world with me. I intend to share it with my little part of the world. When we share food; we know people, when we know people; we know love! I wish all of you great success with your cookbook and beyond. Welcome to our country, glad you are here!
