We, Rich and Cary Hanson, have taken over ownership of The Maine Grind as of the new year. We are introducing more from-scratch foods made with more local ingredients, keeping the great coffees, baked goods, and dishes that folks love, while adding our culinary talents to the mix. We've hired Peter Voigt, most recently from Lily's Cafe, to help us manage the grind. He brings great energy and experience to this endeavor.
The next step is to add the grilled gourmet pizza, and that's where you come in. We need a convection oven, a grill, some pizza making supplies and we need to install a hood. We'll also need some money for a marketing budget and working capital while we put together this exciting venture.
We hope to have our kitchen renovations ready by late February, so we can begin booking music and planning special events. Every little bit counts, each donation brings us one step closer to our dream and your new favorite spot for a casual dinner. Please help us make this dream a reality.
