We Are Restarting The Project!
The backers have spoken, and we have listened! It has been brought to our attention that our pledgers wanted more collectibility, so we have added limited edition V Nives featuring individual production numbers. A number of backers have been asking about super steels, so we are changing the 154CM Atmosphere to S35VN (at no additional cost). There was some confusion about where the V Nives are made, so we have added a breakdown on our new page.
When you go to our new page, please remember to click the "remind me" button on the left so you can get the update on when we go live. Again, thank you very much for all your insight!
Who Is Mike Vellekamp?
V Nives Founder and President Mike Vellekamp has been producing and designing knives for 25 years, and brings his knowledge and expertise to this exciting new knife experience.
What sets V Nives apart from other knife companies in the industry?
Vellekamp began his work in the knife industry 25 years ago, making his way up from the drill press at 18 years old to securing a position within upper management at Spyderco, where he would ultimately become the manufacturing manager of their USA factory. Vellekamp has been designing and creating knives for intercompeting knife companies across the market, and has gained a world of knowledge from other masters through years of hard work and commitment to the craft. Now, his own finely honed edge, created from his true dedication and passion as a knife enthusiast, offers a brand of knife experience that reflects only the best quality. That brand is V Nives.
An example of Vellekamp's devotion to knives can be seen in his success of the passing of the Washington State legislature bill ESHB 2347. This bill allowed the use of spring blade knives to become legal under certain permissions of agencies and companies.

Kickstarting this project will help Vellekamp to create a brand of knives that will be exactly what it claims to be - Something Different. Meeting the pledge amount will support the tooling and manufacturing possible to make the kind of innovative knives that enthusiasts can get on board, and stand against the competition.

Risks and challenges
The risk is low. We know the industry, we know how to make knives, and we have distributors that want to buy. What we need is the capital to fulfill. If we cannot reach our $25,000 goal, we will not be able to start production in a large enough scale the justify manufacturing. Please, help us to achieve our goal and our dream of providing the public with an astounding knife experience.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
