UPDATE: NEW CONCEPT ART!
PINK BRAIN, BLUE BRAIN... PURPLE BRAIN?!
Gender roles are such a hot topic today. Society is constantly telling us what we should wear, how we should act, and EVEN THE TOYS KIDS SHOULD PLAY WITH! Ages 5-11 are such a crucial period for social development in children and we should never rob kids of their ability to express themselves freely. THIS IS MORE THAN AN LGBT ISSUE! Children do not develop an understanding of sexuality until much later, so we need to allow this time for kids to DISCOVER THEIR HOPES, DREAMS, LIKES AND DISLIKES WITHOUT ANY LIMITATIONS! I think Riley said it best...
UNFORTUNATELY, MONEY DOESN'T GROW IN BARBIE'S HAIR...
Filmmaking is an expensive endeavor, even on an independent level. In order for this to be a professional production, your generous contribution will help pay for the following:
- EQUIPMENT RENTAL (We're hoping to be one of the first to use the new Blackmagic Production Camera 4K)
- CAST/CREW MEMBERS (Please see professional bio's below)
- TRANSPORTATION (We need gas to haul not only the heavy equipment, but also our lovely cast and crew!)
- FOOD! (This is HUGE! On certain shooting days, we'll have 50 PEOPLE ON SET! That's a lot of sandwiches!)

Risks and challenges
SHOOTING LOCATIONS: Finding a school that will provide permits for us to shoot on campus for multiple days is a big challenge, but with such a great team (AKA Producer Ryan L Terry) I'm confident that we will find the perfect school for our needs.
AN ARMY OF KIDS: Working with A LOT of children also presents a challenge due to limited working hours and parental supervision. On certain shooting days, we could have a total cast and crew of 50 PEOPLE! But with such a professional cast, I have no doubt that we can complete this project on time and on budget!Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
