The Tooth Fairy is more widely known throughout the world than both Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny. For centuries, millions of parents in over a hundred countries in the world have celebrated the ritual of putting their kids to sleep with this age-old myth.
But so many questions remain.
Why does she need all those teeth?
Where does all the money come from?
How does she transport all those teeth?
The Land of The Tooth Fairy, is the first book to follow the money and trace the legend, answering these questions, and many others in this family-friendly tale with important messages for young kids.
It asks them to decide if friends are more important than money. Should you help others or look the other way? And if you truly believe in something, is there a good chance it can happen?
We plan to turn this book into an animated feature film, a television show, more children’s books, and an array of ancillary markets in both the toy and health product field. The characters in this book are all original, and with proper branding, for which we need your contributions, will become a part of the Tooth Fairy legend.
Somewhere out in the universe, far past the Solar System, lies the Molar System. There, hidden in a cavity in space, is the tooth-shaped planet, Bicuspia, that the Tooth Fairy calls home. This is a planet where the most valuable commodity is teeth, mainly, because nobody has any. This means nobody on this planet can chew, or even smile, without feeling embarrassed. Which makes for a very unhappy place.
The young child in this book (who could be named after your son or daughter (more on that in the Rewards Section), stows away in the Tooth Fairy’s crystal pouch and ends up on a planet that is very different from the one they know. On this planet, money grows on trees and on the ground. The Money Farms are worked on by little round creatures called Gummys, who are enslaved, but hope for their freedom and some teeth.
The Gummys can stretch their bodies like elastic to pick money off the highest trees and dig coins from the deepest holes.
The Money Farms are patrolled by The Money Mongers, muscle-bound giants with tiny brains, who work for the evil Lord Sweet Tooth.
Our story follows the adventures of the Tooth Fairy, a boy (whose face could be based on your child's face), the Gummys, the Money Mongers, and a cast of the most original new characters since Star Wars and Harry Potter.
Thanks to the global familiarity with the legend of the Tooth Fairy, and the fact that so few details about her origins exist, we think this book will spark the birth of an amazing array of spin-offs, including movies, television shows, toys, and heath care products.
In other words, this book is just the beginning and your participation will be forever etched in its history. Join us and play a big part of something great.
This adventure continues to build and takes the child and his parents through a family-oriented tale that will intrigue them with the legend, as well as offering them some important lessons to live by;
Friendship is more important than money, courage doesn’t come easy, and believing in something can make it happen. Land of The Tooth Fairy has the chance to become a children’s classic.
ABOUT THE CREATOR
The creative force behind The Land of The Tooth Fairy is the award-winning director/screenwriter/producer Kenneth Berris. His directing and writing credits include the feature film, The Manor; the interactive films; Spycraft, The Adventures of Pinocchio, Blown Away, Eraser: Turnabout, and more; as well as hundreds of TV commercials. He is currently preparing to direct the feature film, Major, about the life of bicyclist Marshall Taylor.
However, the roles that he takes the most pride in are that of husband, father, uncle, brother, and pet owner who loves kids and animals.
He was inspired to write and design this book while inventing answers to the many questions his children would ask at bedtime, when told that their lost teeth would be taken and replaced with money by the Tooth Fairy.
Those stories combined to become a family legend and now, this book.
WHY WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT TO MAKE US STRONG
We intend, with your help, to design, print, publish the book in an elegantly bound, beautifully illustrated hardcover fashion, as well as a paperback and an e- book.
The illustrations you see here need to be properly finished, in addition to adding new ones incorporating imagery based on many of the contributions of the people who help us. (See rewards)
I look forward to including some of our patrons’ names and likenesses in the book. After I suffered nerve damage in my neck and hand from a car accident, I utilized the help of some other great artists to help carve out my vision. I will use these people to finish and produce our book.
We are ready to build in the necessary improvements to make the book into the beautiful children’s classic it deserves to be.
This book will introduce an unforgettable family of new characters to the world that could become part of a long-lasting legend.

Risks and challenges
I have run major ad agencies like Ogilvy & Mather and DMB&B that constantly had horrific deadlines and tough production schedules. We always made them. I have a great knowledge of the perils and tasks of art delivery, writing, publishing and production and guarantee we will meet our deadlines.
We will need to incorporate many of the details we offer in the rewards into the final text and illustrations of the book but we are immensely prepared to do so and create a new children's classic.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
