Whack-O-Wrestling is an arcade style game where you select a wrestler and compete to become champion of the world. You can upgrade the stats of your wrestler via the in game shop. In addition to upgrading your wrestler, you can collect over 100 wrestlers to use in the game. There are over 60 original wrestlers and over 40 developer donated characters. (FDG Entertainment, Pine Entertainment, Honey Tribe Studios, Yipe V Developers-Kevin Kinell and Dylan Sisson, Orange Pixel, Multimage, Smuttlewerk, Saturday RPG-Josh Fairhurst, among others.
Gameplay is a mix of pool and pinball in a competitive wrestling environment. A player will compete for three different championship belts, while leveling up and collecting new characters.
Whack-O-Wrestling to this point has been completely funded by myself. The project has grown to such a degree that I need to hire an additional artist and coder to help finish the project.
The funds I am seeking are to help pay for an additional artist and coder to complete and polish the game. The majority of the expense is the in game shop and trying to work in over 100 wrestlers and having each wrestler work as intended. (I have an experienced artist and coder that I have worked with in the past that I will be using).
Any additional funds would allow for extra polish, extra wrestlers and or additional content.
Risks and challenges
Whack-O-Wrestling has been in development for over a year and is a near complete project. Whack-O-Wrestling works but needs a lot of polish and making the in game shop work flawlessly is the current challenge.
If I am able to get the funding I need, I do not see an issue that would cause Whack-O-Wrestling to be delayed beyond Spring 2013.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
