Thank you for the kind words of support, Hilary and Janine. I'm thrilled to hear you enjoyed the preview :)))
Just saw the 14 minute preview... awesome, Elena! I am proud of you. This is going to be a great movie.
The footage reel looks GREAT! I can't wait to see the rest!!!
I feel a little bad because I think I am part of the problem.. When someone tells me "You have a beautiful mind" or "You're kind" I get upset because they aren't complimenting how I look. why is this? Why do I want so much to be respected for my intelligence, my compassion, my ethics and morals but I still feel hurt when it's not all about whether or not my outward appearance is approved by the media.
Also, Elena, I don't envy your job. A LOT of magaazine editors are women. Women letting women get harmed by toxic advertising and messages. I just KNOW I would end up shaking someone and screaming 'LOOK WHAT YOU'VE DONE TO THESE PEOPLE!"
And then be arrested :/
Congratulations and best of luck!
Thank you for this amazing project. Good luck!
While there are so many beautiful and worthy projects I want to fund and have funded on Kickstarter, I believe this is the one that will affect my life the most, and the one that will most affect the lives of others. At least, I hope so.
So happy to see this funded!!! *hug*
Congrats!!!!!!!! way to go!

Proud to support this important project. Congratulations on hitting the first 40% of pledges. Here's to the next 40% and the remaining 20%!
@Gina Thank you so much for the kind words! Supportive comments like yours make me super motivated to make this film :)
What a wonderful project! I believe that you will shed light on issues that many people didn't even see as "issues." It really is alarming how frequently and with such force that ads are bombarded at us on a daily basis. Advertising influences don't stopped at just trying to sell products and services, it really has a profound impact on shaping our views. You have my full support!
@Laurence @Gianna Thank you so much for your support!!! :)
@Jeffrey, thank you for your interest. Re: the title, that ship has sailed I'm afraid but in this case The Illusionists is plural, whereas the other two films are "The Illusionist." Also: this film is a documentary, which would hopefully distinguish it from the other two. Thanks again.
This project is great, so excited for you Elena. Good luck!
I am a 100% with you. A good subject to awaken consciousness all over the world. Gook luck, Elena :-)
I'm on board. This subject interests me. I'm admittedly obese to some degree, but aside from health concerns, I'm generally OK with it. Although I like the title, the problem is, as you probably already know, there are already two major films called "The Illusionist". One by Neil Burger and the other by Sylvain Chomet. I'm not sure people need more confusion, lol.
@Liz Davis – Thank you for the encouragement! A submission to the Traverse City Film Festival will be at the top of my to do list, as soon as the film is finished.
@Connie Klaasen: Thank you so much for your wonderful support! Quinn is amazing and is offering such tremendous help! :)
Michael Moore listen up! I agree with Aubrey; The Illusionists needs to be headlined at the Traverse City Film Festival in 2012! Let's make it happen! Bravo, bravo, bravo!
More power to you! So proud to have my grandaughter, Quinn, be part of The Illusionists's team and conveying such a powerful message worldwide.
I CAN'T WAIT for this movie to come out!!
Awesome project, Elena, brava!
I truly hope so, Aubrey! :)
Such an important topic, can't wait to see the film! Hopefully at the Traverse City Film Festival 2012?!?!?
Fingers crossed!!! :)
I'm cheering for you, Ele! Bises!
proud to be a backer!!! :)
