About this project
Check out our new calibration tool.
Only a perfectly calibrated monitor ensures that your images are correctly displayed. Seeing your pictures in true colors for professional photographs and high quality images.
If you want your images to appear just as brilliant in print as they do on your screen, then you need a color calibration tool. The good news? Today, this hardware comes at a very affordable price.
globellColor helps you set up your monitor professionally in just a few simple steps. Colors, brightness and contrast are displayed perfectly while taking human perception into account, all to ensure outstanding precision with minimal effort.
It’s finally here: globellColor delivers professional screen calibration at an affordable price. There is no longer any excuse for putting up with less-than-perfect monitor settings.
But we need your help!
Share your passion for true-to-life colors with everyone! Help us make globellColor a reality by supporting our Kickstarter campaign.
And by the way: During the Kickstarter campaign, you can get the globellColor colorimeter, including software, from just 99$ (anticipated RRP 249$).
With globellColor, there is no need to use your best judgement.
Unfortunately, our eyes cannot be trusted. They work very closely with our brain, where a kind of built-in white balance automatically ‘corrects’ deviations in brightness and color temperature. Unfortunately, evolution has done such a good job of this that our eyes are really quite unsuited to the precise visual settings of monitors.
While a number of products have sought to compensate for this biological handicap for years now, none have proved satisfactory. These solutions have been technically ambitious but complicated and expensive to use. Or they are easy to use and affordable, but unable to function at a sufficiently high standard.
We refuse to accept this ‘either/or’ situation. globellColor offers a technically mature solution that is easy and fast to use and delivers precise calibration results at an attractive price.
globellColor hardware and software.
The centerpiece of the globellColor range is our high-quality glass optics that guarantees the best possible calibration results when combined with our high-performance glass filter sensor. Developed in collaboration with Meyer-Optik-Görlitz lens specialists, this lens allows maximum light absorption during measurement. Our optics enable the sensor to record all data precisely, and offer consistent calibration.
The interplay between our powerful hardware and sophisticated software makes globellColor the most precise, easy-to-use product in its price range. You can calibrate your monitor with globellColor in just three steps and less than five minutes. After launching the software, place the sensor on the monitor, select the appropriate preset, and start the calibration process. The software measures the monitor’s current display settings before creating the right color profile for your environment. This profile is automatically saved in the right place and enabled.
When developing the software, we focused on making it as easy to use as possible, without forcing more experienced users to give up on an even greater range of possibilities. Ambitious hobby photographers won’t have to do without a simple and instant way to improve the quality of their screen display. And professional users can take advantage of globellColor’s more advanced features - that they already know from existing tools - to fine tune and optimize the display performance of their monitors.
The team behind globellColor
When we started developing gobellColor, we made one simple promise: No compromises. From the very beginning, our goal was to be able to offer a calibration tool that was easy to use and satisfied the highest technical requirements, without having to place it in a high price segment.
Without our decades of experience in the field of color management, photography and monitor calibration, as well as the expertise of partners such as Meyer-Optik Görlitz, we would not have achieved our ambitious goal: To enable the best possible calibration results through the most easy-to-use tool and perfect workmanship. Today, we are pleased with the result! We know you will be, too.

Risks and challenges
Entering a new market always involves a certain degree of risk, and this is also true of globellColor. The Globell team's decades of experience, along with the technical expertise of its external partners and the real passion for the project from all those involved has laid a good foundation for the success of the project. A variety of sensors, prototypes and optics have been tested and have been delivering excellent results under laboratory conditions.
Our next challenge is to make these results affordable for everyone in serial production. As a result, this production has not yet begun, and will only commence with the success of the campaign. Every sensor will receive a customized calibration to ensure the best possible quality for the user, but this elaborate production process - carried out entirely in Germany - is also reliant upon the success of this campaign.
The above delivery dates are conservative estimates, but may differ from the actual delivery dates. We therefore reserve the right to adjust these schedules to an acceptable degree in order to ensure the quality of our deliveries.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
