Steve Mascord has been writing about rugby league and rock music for 30 years. He never questioned his interest in music and sport, just as millions of others never question theirs'. Then, the night before a Test match in Wigan in November, 2015, he watched live on television as terrorists attacked a football stadium and a rock concert in Paris. Why had they targeted these events? And why had those targeted displayed such defiance, unity and even love? What purpose do this twin constants serve in our society? To find out, Steve will attend a gig and a game every week from February 2016 until February 2017, He'll speak to players, musicians and fans and try to explain where their passion comes from. He'll come up with a life lesson a week - fifty two in all.
