Update #34 - International Shipping

Hi Backers,

This update is intended to clarify international shipping charges. There have been several questions regarding exact costs to each backer and while we would like to send a personal reply to each of you, we have limited staff and can't respond to individual emails immediately. We hope we can clarify the main points succinctly here.

We will honor our earliest commitment to international backers for shipping charges. Backers will only be responsible for covering the cost of shipping the Instacube at U.S. domestic rates, regardless of the destination country. The U.S. domestic shipping rate is USD $20.00 per Instacube. We will cover shipping costs above that amount to ship to your country.

So for example, if it costs $45 to ship an Instacube to your country, then you will pay $20.00 and we will cover the $25.00 difference.

Please note that you will still be responsible for duties or taxes that may be applicable to your shipping country, if any.

We'll try to get the Instacube shipped to your country as soon as possible and will continue to keep you updated.

Thank you again for your support.

- Instacube Team

3 weeks later and still no link for international shipments.
Please give an update for international shipments by country.

    2. Creator Mark Ngui on April 25, 2014

I am also still waiting for this link.

    3. Creator Roberto Tremonti on April 22, 2014

@D2M Still waiting for a link. 11 days have passed since your "tomorrow you'll get the link" statement... Will you ever start to respect ETA of **anything** you do?

    4. Creator eugene_gcf on April 16, 2014

Hi, I would get refund as this product has been delay too long. Let me know the status ASAP.

      Thanks.

    5. Creator David Carrero on April 15, 2014

Thanks. I waiting your private link. I want test my instacube in Spain :)

    6. Creator Giordano Bruno Folin on April 15, 2014

Hi there. Still waiting for the private link or int. shipping. Thanks.

    7. Creator Samuel Ling on April 15, 2014

Hi, I am living in HK and your goods are delivered from China/Shenzhen. Is it possible that I can get one from your HK office and avoid the international shipping cost?

    8. Creator Cristina Farias on April 14, 2014

When will we receive private link for shipping payment? I didn't receive it yet!

    9. Creator Roy Brouwer on April 14, 2014

Is there any way to say when I receive my Instacube (and others theirs)? Or when international orders will ship? That's what I would really like to know.

    10. Creator Jorge Palanca on April 11, 2014

Please send my Instacube as a free sample or gift as others are asking. I really don't feel like spending more money plus the international difference to Spain :-(

    11. Creator D2M | Design to Matter on April 11, 2014

@Roberto - Thank you for asking. Our goal is to test it and send it out by tomorrow. We want to make sure it works correctly.

    12. Creator Roberto Tremonti on April 11, 2014

When will we receive private link for shipping payment?
      Do you have a ETA?
      Thanks.

    13. Creator D2M | Design to Matter on April 10, 2014

@Matthew - Yes, you are in the queue too.

    14. Creator Matthew on April 10, 2014

Refund please. Am I in the queue. Please read the rest if Mario's come t as I feel the same way

      Thanks

    15. Creator D2M | Design to Matter on April 10, 2014

@Ryan - Thank you for the comment. To avoid any doubt, we are requiring international backers to pay for part of the total shipping costs for delivery outside of the US. That amount is US $20.00 and international backers will receive a private link to make the payment.

    16. Creator Ryan on April 10, 2014

"Shipping within the US is free. We are only asking international backers to pay for part of the total shipping outside of the US."
Be careful with the word "asking" you imply that it is an option.

    17. Creator D2M | Design to Matter on April 10, 2014

@CK - Shipping within the US is free. We are only asking international backers to pay for part of the total shipping outside of the US.

    18. Creator CK on April 10, 2014

Do you mean for shipping within US also require to pay $20?

    19. Creator D2M | Design to Matter on April 10, 2014

@Dion - Your refund request is already in the queue. We'll process it as soon as possible. Thanks for your patience.

    20. Creator D2M | Design to Matter on April 10, 2014

For the international shipping charge, we've setup a special section on our website for payment of the shipping charge and are testing it out right now. We'll send you a private link to that section individually.

    21. Creator D2M | Design to Matter on April 10, 2014

@Mario - You are correct, we will be marking the shipments as "gifts" because that's technically what they are in return for your pledge. However, please keep in mind that we have no control over each country's customs and inspection process and what they ultimately decide.

    22. Creator dion on April 9, 2014

Please let me know how I can get my instacubes into the queue to be sold to some other sucker rather than give you crooks another red cent for a subpar, obsolete product. I suspect because I was extra foolish to request a black one & doubly unfortunate to be Canadian it might be a while until you leeches contact me, but I thought I would ask if there was some way to get on the list now & avoid the potential/inevitable delays/mishandling?

    23. Creator Paulo Beto Roberto on April 9, 2014

Agree with Mario: About duties and taxes: it is important that on the package you clearly sign FREE SAMPLE

    24. Creator Daniel Malen on April 9, 2014

Echoing the sentiments of others... when will you be shipping to Canada!!! (Or as Homer Simpson once put it, "America Jr.")

    25. Creator Mark Ngui on April 9, 2014

In the same way as others are asking - Can you please ship my instacube as a gift. How do I pay the uplift on these shipping charges. Let's get this cleared up ASAP, especially the tax situation. I don't want to get additionally charged on this. Gift or Free Sample, whichever works best.

    26. Creator Mariana Brasil Teixeira on April 9, 2014

All i want is my refund.

    27. Creator Matt Wakeman on April 9, 2014

Please ensure that my ship instacube as a gift so I do not need to pay any import tax.

    28. Creator Ryan on April 9, 2014

For those wondering about shipping charges typically you pay any outstanding charges at the post office when you pick the package up. From what I understand, the shipping charge will be a flat $20 and then there will likely be duty and/or custom charges of probably around $20-$40 depending on where you live. This is what I anticipate.. don't take my word for it.

    29. Creator Mike Cohen on April 9, 2014

When will I be able to buy an Instacube since I pledged at the $35 level which doesn't receive a unit?

    30. Creator Andy Lai on April 9, 2014

I'm in canada, does this mean I have to pay extra for shipping charges? How do I pay?

    31. Creator Ryan on April 9, 2014

Looking forward to the cube. Thank you for pulling this off and not giving up.

    32. Creator Roy Brouwer on April 9, 2014

WHEN do we have to pay the $20,-?

    33. Creator Mario Reiner on April 9, 2014

About duties and taxes: it is important that on the package you clearly sign FREE SAMPLE.

    34. Creator Mathieu Chevalier on April 9, 2014

So... Will we have to pay before or after receiving the units? When will you ship to Canada?
