I invoke my rights under Kickstarter's Terms of Use:
"Project Creators are required to fulfill all rewards of their successful fundraising campaigns or refund any Backer whose reward they do not or cannot fulfill."
I demand a full refund for my pledge amount.

Sooooo, no news on this SCAM?? Thnx Kickstarter for being so reputable!!!!

    3. Carole on February 22

Is this officially dead? No hope at all in getting anything back? No product, no refund, no apology for not giving a product or a refund?

Yup. More KS sponsored fraud with another phone case scam:

Charlie is a fraud plain and simple. And as far as I'm concerned KS is complicit. They set up the platform with zero accountability. They took their cut for hosting a fraud. They haven't lifted a finger for anybody ripped off by this blatent fraud. 5 years ago, this was ready to go. Just needed production funding. Then story after BS story, Charlie rips off a couple thousand people with KS's help, and KS keeps their cut.

And to think that this was the very first KS campaign I backed... Oh well....

The major mistake was to assume iPhone 5 could be supported in the blink of an eye. Your proposal was a product for iPhone 4/4S (wow, we have iPhone 8 now :^( ), but as soon as you added the at-the-time-just-released iPhone 5 things started to go sour... That brought in the MFI requirement and all trouble from there onwards. So, if you ever try again, make sure to stick with the original plan... Albeit, with the way the project was carried out I am not so sure you could pull out even the original design... Sadly...

      Hi Charlie,
i backed your project because you guaranteed the iExpander was ready for manufacture and you needed backers to finance the tooling and production. In your last Update you called the iExpander the Xspander, Why ? You had a great product, but wasted too much time getting permissions from the license holder, Apple Inc.You weren't fast enough to grab the window of opportunity and so many imitators succeeded were you didn't. Its gone the way of the dodo birds. What a pity as it had such a catchy name. Can it be resurrected ? It's up to you Charlie.
Maybe you should have called it the HiExspender . I hope in a future reincarnation, if any, of the iExpander it takes off and you make a squillion. Good Luck

    9. Bob Stanikowski on June 26, 2017

Look, the concept looked good when you first posted your video. Guess what, you haven't done your homework very well as you have bullshitted over 5 years for a product which is now redundant. Put your tail between your legs and return the money. Oh you can't because you spent it. I've already moved onto An iPhone 7. Oh well it was not a lot of money. I'll just move on!!

    10. Brian Eng on June 14, 2017

Is there no justice for this project? While I understand this isn't a store, that does not release the project creator from the obligation of delivering rewards to their backers.

Charlie, you've taken advantage of 1,981 backers that trusted you with their hard earned money to give you the chance to make your project a reality. It's obvious you have no respect for your backers by not even supplying an apology for a failed project. The few times you speak out to the backers you make a mockery of us all on how you've "hit another snag" which resulted in more "delays". Just accept the reality that you've failed and concede this defeat. It was a great idea but you just couldn't deliver within any sort of reasonable time frame, even by Kickstarter standards.

Yes, I would like my money back. However I'm sure it's long gone. Just end this now and admit your failure.

REFUND, REFUND, REFUND, REFUND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THIS IS BS!!

Charlie, you gave it your best shot. Too often backers watch the project description and video and treat their backing as if they were buying an item from Amazon with a long delivery time. I've backed 12 Kickstarter projects so far and have only lost out on two. The success of the remainder keeps me interested. Blessings on your next project, brother. I'll be looking forward to helping you again. Bill

The money did not just disappear Charlie must have known funds were getting low. This is ridiculous he even got almost $50,000 more than his goal. If these companies that were working with you on the case were unsuccessful for the job then you don't pay them !!!

      Hi Charlie,

You should move on from this. Most of us have. Your seemingly sincere attempts to finish this project show that you have integrity. With other projects that I've funded that have failed, the principals have disappeared into the wind with no explanation. You have tried. It is quite reasonable to spend over $175,000 on an engineering project. Not all are successful. You ran into problems that you couldn't overcome. That's the nature of this, and people should understand. I personally do not see your actions as wrong or fraudulent, where I suspect other projects would meet those tests.

However, time and technology have moved on. You had a good idea. Come up with a new one that will move things forward the same way this would have back when you started it. Let failure be a guide for your next project in life.

Thank you for all of your efforts. You seem like a genuine and good person. I wish you the best of luck.

We all understand the phrase "caveat emptor." This misadventure is a prime example. If you believe that someone will give you more money for this project, then you are as stupid and dangerous as you appear. Please don't continue to insult us with your lies...pull the plug. What exactly did you do with our $176,000? I feel we at the very least deserve a detailed accounting. You produced such little results, I can't believe you used up all the money...for what??? Maybe you've done this before and I missed it somewhere.

Investors? Really? Why would any investor in his right mind invest in a project that has been mismanaged for 4 years? This is now completely obsolete.

The update is laughable. I work in duct a a month for a quote is not something that should be a reality. I can get a work prototype of a electronic product form conception in a few days. Design and QC is key and takes time along with refining tooling but 3.5 weeks to calculate parts, costs and production time simply some one not interested in making it for you.

      Wahey! You've done it
I seriously can't believe the snivelling, ungrateful assholes that permeate this crowdfunding circle. People that are too stupid and lazy to accept or even read the risks in crowdfunding and what they are actually paying their money towards.
If you don't want the iexpander, grow up and move on
You personally funded near heart attacks, sleepless months, endless stress and more grey hair for Corrie. So at least be grateful for that and piss off and buy the case you want from Amazon and support the corporate tax evaders, if you are intelligent enough to understand what that is about......
      Well done Corrie.

      Legitimate question.

I am not an iPhone user anymore, haven't been for a good number of years and my partner wouldn't use this device.

Is anyone interested in purchasing it from me? I'm only looking for the pledge amount of $75.
