About

Hello guys, we are 10KLumen. Last year when we first saw Jamiroquai's Automaton video, we were immediately impressed by the helmet that Jay Kay wears in the video. A lot of people asked if we can make a replica. After an assessment, we decided to make the replica. Although we only had a video as a reference after long months of excruciating research and development (We designed the circuit boards on the helmet and the battery pack, developed a customized app, added RF remote system and got molds done) we were able to build a functional helmet with relatively low cost.

From October 2017- October 2018, we've shipped 120 custom-made helmets to people from 22 countries, United States, United Kingdom, Switzerland, Russia, Germany, Armenia, Japan, Korea, Spain, Italy, Chile, Belgium, France, Israel, Mexico, China, Canada, Ukraine, Austria, Netherlands, Denmark, and South Africa. They all like it! Check out our Facebook page 10KLumen for photos and videos from our customers.

The Helmet

Besides getting all the attention at a party, music festival and costume contest, this helmet can also be a great decoration to your room.

Remote Control

App(iOS) Control

In the app, there are many pre-set light effects. Also, you can customize the color of the light, choose how fast you want the light to change, set the speed of blades' movement, etc.

*Thanks to Daniel Lopez-Uribe at Frost Element for making the videos for us!

Why Kickstarter

There are many people still asking for this helmet, but we've run out of parts to make more and there is an MOQ for ordering parts. Also, the sale of 120 helmets merely covers our development cost, and we need more funding to keep this project going. By doing this Kickstarter campaign, we can get enough funding to further improve the helmet and make more helmets for people who like it.
