Singularity is an acting and roleplaying game by Caitlynn Belle and Josh Jordan that takes place on a far-future transhuman dating show. Each time you play, the players act out an episode of a dating show set in a time when the human body has become optional. Transhumanism is the idea that humans can evolve beyond their current mental and physical forms and limitations. You don't need to know more than that about transhumanism to play this game.
This Kickstarter is raising funds to create a 60-page, full color rulebook for Singularity. Backers who donate at least $10 will receive a digital copy of the book. Backers who donate at least $20 will receive a print copy and digital copy. Thomas Novosel is laying out the book in a 6 by 9 inch format. We will print it as a perfect bound softcover. The book and cover are full of original art, some of which is featured in our Kickstarter video.
The rulebook itself will contain everything you need to play, including twelve pre-made character sheets, each of which contains a bio written by a different author. We will announce all the authors in future updates, but they include Jared Axelrod, Banana Chan, and Elsa Henry.
Stretch Goal: $4,000 Print-and-Play Zines for Two Bonus Games
Update: Backers at the Fan Tier or higher will also receive any setting hacks unlocked by SuperStar backers. Each of these setting hacks will be written by Josh Jordan and will allow you to play a different sort of dating game using the rules of Singularity. The settings are Superhero, Mythic Gods, CryptoZoological, and Underwater.
Backers at the SuperFan level or at the Star level or higher will also receive a soundtrack for the game curated by Josh Jordan.
To tell you more about the game itself, I'm going to turn it over to the lovable robot host of Singularity, Rock-E Romance. Take it away, Rock-E!
"Singularity! Humanity’s most popular dating show, where all our guests find that special someone (or something!) [Applause.] Broadcast to over ten planets across four realities, Singularity matches each of our lucky guest Stars with three suitors and allows them to choose the one they feel will take them to the top of the world…and beyond.
"Humankind has discovered the technology to surpass our original bodies. No longer bound by the rules of homo sapien biology, we are able to craft ourselves anew: bodies expanded, identities altered, our sense of self can now linger in the space between abstract thought and self-actualization. Humanity has become something else, something other. No longer the narrow flock of fleshy humanoid we once were, you will instead find androids, human-esque constructs, abstract qualities made sentient—Joy literally personified—lives next door to a being with no face and no sense of aging. Massive computer banks with memories and hopes work side-by-side with living gHosts and electric skeletons. People change who and what they are with infinite possibility. With all our fantastic, impossible advancements, one fundamental aspect of humanity still eludes us. Can anybody find me somebody to love?"

In the Screenplay section of the book, we explain how to play an episode of the dating show. The square brackets indicate [ ] which player does most of the talking during each part of the episode. All players should be involved in each step, but, for example, the Host does most of the talking during the Opening the Episode part.
Now let's move onto the list of characters. I've included 13, including the Human, who is the default Star of the game. The Human has a bio written by Caitlynn Belle. You can make any of the characters the Star, the person who gets to choose one of the contestants. For the sake of becoming more comfortable with the game, however, you may want to use the Human as the Star first.

Risks and challenges
This game is in playtesting now. The art is 90% done. I, Josh, have successfully Kickstarted games before. I, Caitlynn, have released several games on Patreon.
The risk to our project is potential delay in final layout or printing, but since we are printing through DrivethruRPG and we have hired a professional layout artist, these risks are relatively small.
