Robin Comisar here, I am a director from Cincinnati, Ohio currently living in Brooklyn. I'm writing here to take the next step in my film making career by directing my first narrative piece.
In an ideal world I would fund it myself instead of bugging you and have barbecues all the time. The reality is making movies is really expensive and I rely entirely on the support of friends and collaborators. That said, the quality of the crew attached to the production is first-rate.
The script is pretty nuts from a production standpoint. Donations will really count, every little bit will go a very long way towards making this project as great as it can possibly be.
Along with your support I know I can make something you'll love. Thank you, all of you, always and forever.
FRANK IS A BOWLER is a black comedy. About family.
Somewhere outside of Saginaw, Michigan, a lonely farmhouse glows with life in the moonlight amid a bleak untended plot of land. Inside a family of six sits down for a routine family dinner. An act of sibling cruelty leads to violent, life altering series of events.
The story has a lot of action. Things get destroyed, set on fire. People get hurt. Most of the donation money will go towards making these things look as close to reality as possible. My good friend Chazz Carfora is producing at Greencard Pictures in collaboration with the folks at Neighborhood Watch Films.
Risks and challenges
This short has a lot a crazy stuff! We're shooting at a farmhouse about eight hours drive away, there's stunts, destruction, debris, wounds, and bowling. Through your support we're going to accomplish all of that on a small budget because the people set to work on the film are first rate professionals.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
