The Secret Guide to Alternative Beijing Launches NOW
Dear, wonderful, beautiful supporters of The Secret Guide to Alternative Beijing! It's time to reap the fruit of your contributions, and to relish the sweetness of accomplishment. The Guide's official launch is now, with fifteen posts to get this party started, and semiweekly posts to roll out from here on out. We're smiling big and high-fiving all of you from a distance right now, and hope you're not too creeped out.
We've eaten insects, gotten lost in hutongs, bribed angry, gun-toting farmers and, in Zo's case, let pigeons tread upon our naked flesh during filming – all to make this series real. Through the words of artists, punk rockers, indie kids, fashion designers, bar owners, gallerists, DJs and your mischievous hosts, we've opened an unprecedented window into Beijing’s underground, offering you an intimate look at the vibrant new culture evolving amidst China’s traditional values.
We wrote a post introducing all of our current content here, so pull up a chair, pour yourself some tea and have a look around – we've been working hard and hope you'll like what you see. We also hope that you'll take a moment to leave us feedback in our shiny new comments section; we wouldn’t be here without your support, and would love to hear from you. Enjoy, and, from the bottom of our collective heart, thank you again: http://www.alternativebeijing.com/
Love, The Secret Guide Team
