A short film about the tug of war between taking care of others and yourself.
Risks and challenges Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
As with any project, we are at the mercy of Mother Nature. If an actor or principle crew member is sick and we cannot find an appropriate replacement, we most likely will have to postpone and reschedule the shoot. I'm open to the weather's contribution - even if it rains. But extremes risk the safety of our equipment, team, and the quality of our recording. Consequently, we'll postpone and reschedule the shoot.
Additionally, we are the mercy of technology. We'll check our hard drives on a daily basis. In the worst case scenario, if a scene goes missing, we'll try our best to squeeze in a reshoot during one of the following production days. If this is not an option and if the story makes no sense without it, I'll invest in the necessary funds to schedule a separate day for a reshoot.
A film's beast and beauty is the amount of layers it's made of. Especially during post-production. Finding the right sound/picture editors, colorists, musicians etc. takes a lot of time and money. In the worst case, it'll take me longer than I have suggested to get the film done.
Challenges may postpone the shoot and the finalization of the film. But they won't defeat it. As said, I will invest every grain in me to make this project stand strong.
