30 million women in the US live with chronic conditions and need to wear a medical ID bracelet at all times to protect their life. Unfortunately, options on the market are bulky, unattractive, and embarrassing-- leading the vast majority of women with diabetes, epilepsy, asthma, and nut allergies to go without a life-saving medical ID bracelet.
Introducing Poppy: Medical IDs you'll actually want to wear. Created by a jewelry designer; cast in semiprecious and precious metals; customized for you
Luxury pieces of jewelry, 3D printed and casted in semiprecious and precious metal, created by a jewelry designer living with a life-threatening condition.
Offered in sterling silver, yellow or rose gold plate, and solid 14K gold.
“I got my bracelet today and I LOVE IT!! I think the engraving looks great. It fits perfectly and it is so beautiful! This is definitely something I could wear every day. The chain is the perfect balance of sturdy and elegant. Of course now I'll need one in gold!”
“You sell the prettiest medical ID’s I’ve ever seen. I’ve wanted one for so long...keep doing what you do.”
“Your bracelets are amazing! I can remember elementary school forcing me to wear one and me being so embarrassed by it! I refused to wear it…I love your stuff!”
“Been type 1 [diabetic] for 18 years and I’ve yet to get a nice bracelet. I’ve just not bothered with one for years! Can’t wait to order a pretty one.”
“Just wanted to let you know that you sell the prettiest medical ID’s I’ve ever seen. I’ve wanted one for so long...keep doing what you do.”

Poppy Adult Sizing Chart
Using a soft measuring tape (aka dressmaker’s tape), take a snug measurement of your wrist starting at the 0. Order the size closest to your wrist, and if it's in-between/a close call, order the size up. If your ID is too tight, it will be uncomfortable, and more prone to being damaged. Alternately, if you do not have a soft measuring tape, you can use a piece of string, ribbon, or floss, wrap it around your wrist and then lay it flat next to a ruler to determine your wrist size.
Poppy for Tots Sizing Chart
If your child's wrist is less than 4 inches in circumference, please write "other" as the size selection, and note their total wrist circumference.

Risks and challenges
There are three major risks that we may face after our project is successfully funded:
1) Our manufacturing partners may take longer than expected to deliver the bracelets. To mitigate this risk, we have developed relationships with our suppliers and manufacturers, and are in proactive contact with them about delivery.
2) The product we ship is custom-made, sized just right, and leaves a lot more room for mistakes than shipping a one-size-fits-all yellow T-shirt. While we hope to never make a mistake, we recognize that we are human. If for any reason a custom product is shipped to a customer that is not right, we are committed to fixing it and will be eager to do so.
3) We rely on advanced tools and machines to create Poppy jewelry. It is possible, though not likely, that there could be a malfunction with a machine. To mitigate this risk, we are using top-quality tooling and machinery, and working with experts.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
